as above the scope is gone get a new one , my brother had a similar problem with a scope . I did have a little look inside but gave up , you could have a look and find what is loose . You may be lucky but I will say it wont hold the zero as it is .

I have one it seems fine , my friend got the cheapest cheapest one he could it never worked well and failed soon, he then got a second one at the usual price it seems to be working fine . I dont think threads will match the pump is npt and the hw100 connector is bsp but they will connect with a foster connector

Had a good walk around a big wood near me this morning that borders the large council estate i live that the council now own it was crawling with grey squirrels i shoot the odd one's with the catapult even 20 years ago i would shoot over a hundred a year with the airgun and other lads with airguns would put a dent in them .I wouldn't dare mooch about down their with an airgun these days in case a member of the public saw me and phoned the police or sneakily took pics and put them all over social media.
my father in 1960s was driving around an outer london area called West Drayton with his friend and two shot guns in his car looking for somewhere to shoot . The police notice his suspicious behaviour and asked what he was doing . When he told the police what he was up to , they replied you cannot go shooting round here , the police then took my father and his friend a few miles away to an undeveloped area in a place called Gerrards Cross and directed them to go shooting there .

I live in west London I never saw squirrels in this location in the 70' or 80's in the early 70s every one and their mum had an air gun . Today squirrels are every where round here , air guns are not so common today , no squirrel control at all , the RSPCA just hyping stuff up to get donations .

does any one know what the tx 200 compression tube made of . I feel it is polished stainless steel I am asking because mine has some funny stain in the breech area , I want to polish it out when I take the gun apart. I got the gun second hand with the mark

I have just got a tx 200 sr from a gun fair , it had a lot of faults that have all been sorted out . The gun is stupidly accurate shooting flat in my 13 yard indoor range at home , I was just wondering if anyone has had experience shooting this gun up or down hill at say a 45 deg angle . I have not had the chance to shoot the gun up or down hill yet , if there is any one who has shot this gun in these conditions and can tell me how this sledge system behaves that would be interesting . or I guess similarly the diana airking

I haven’t chronod it but only had a tbt kit fitted 2 weeks ago and the gun smith had and said it was running at 11.6 with jsb exact. It’s taken the twang out but not really improved the accuracy. If I shoot a 10 shot group I would say I ll get 5 together and probably 2 high and 3 low
you need to chrony the gut , not to check for max power but for shot to shot consistency .

if the barrel locks up different from time to time .., do you get two different groups that may prove that . have you shot it over a chrono . Is the crown of the barrel ok . I had a gun once the breech bit of the barrel where you push in the pellet was done badly and there was a few burs left in the barrel at the start of the rifling , so each pellet got a few deep cuts on the side of the pellet . I discovered this by pushing a pellet slowly down the barrel and looking at the rifling marks left on the pellet .
-
push them out with a long piece of brass rod if you can get some, or straitened out a coat hanger or similar wire BUT COAT THE WIRE WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE OR SIMILAR so as not to damage the barrel . This is what I would do and have done I am not saying this is the correct method ,

has anyone ever tested the ground water under historic shot gun shooting clubs , were tons of lead shot must have been shot over the years . This will give some information as to the possibility of pollution by lead from shot , I would suggest it has been done already and no pollution has been found , if pollution was found every one would know . With the lead in tap water because of lead pipes I do wonder about but I do wonder more about the plastic in tap water to day .

chronograph . it may seem like and expense but once you have one you think how did I do this shooting thing with out one , I will bet most people here have one . A chorno will show you exactly what is happening with your gun , if the pellet comes out of your gun at a constant speed you then know there is nothing wrong with your guns mechanism I would say that is something you should check if you think the sound of the gun is changing . If the guns action is fine accuracy is the problem you have a lot of possibilities . loose or damaged scope . air arms has a thin barrel and the barrel band can mess with accuracy if it's loose , the gun could be loose in the stock , also that gun has a power curve when filled to 190 the gun will have less power than when the pressure drops to 150 bar is when the gun will be at it's most powerful. and as stated the moderator could be the problem . When you shoot without the moderator your group may move a bit .

I want to know what thickness of one strip of GZK green 15mm wide would be similar to two strips of theraband gold 15mm wide . I am shooting two strips of 15mm theraband on each side at present I just want to do a straight swap .At a guess I was thinking .76 GZK green .

if it,s working it will shoot pigeons no problem . I had a little experience with a gas strut brake barrel not this gun , the gas strut started to leak so the gun lost power . Saying that when the gun lost power it would have still had the power to knock off some pigeons from a roof if the gun holds zero . If it shoots at full power you may have a problem with where the pellet goes after you shoot the pigeon . if you don't shoot spring air guns to shoot it accurately you hold the gun very loosely against your shoulder and let the gun move how it wants to after you pull the trigger there are lots of vids on this .

carbon steel , is a lot more expensive than mild steel . shooting from a catapult it will make no difference carbon steel or mild steel . good quality carbon steel balls will be made for a bearing race ect and made to resist wear mild steel will wear out very quick used in that environment .

just had a look at mine . mine has the empty grub screw looking hole . but mine doesn't have the larger alen bolt . mine is a mark one verminator and it doesn't have the power adjuster under the barrel it just shots at 12 ft lbs only . Years back there was a lot of strip down information , I cannot find any thing now .
-
may be that bolt is a little bit to long , you may be able to put a little washer under the head of that bolt or take a little bit of the end of the bolt .

There is no new problems with sling shots , air guns , crossbows ect , all the problems with these things are media driven . Problems will happen with these things , they always have some people will be criminals and use something in a criminal way . The only new problems are what campaigners and the media create to push their agender and wishes .

I don't think they are a good gun here in the UK , in America they must be fine a cheap powerful PCP but here in the UK not so cheap for a poorly made gun . the main problem I feel these guns have is because of their design the problem is keeping the guns power below 12 ft lbs . I messed about with one for quite some time and I found with the gun I had ,I had to set the power to 10.5 ft lbs with an average pellet because at some points of the power curve as the bottle emptied with a very heavy pellet the power would go well over 12 ft lbs .So to take advantage of 12 ft lbs I had to use a heavy pellet giving a stupid trajectory , my gun was 22 in 177 it may not be such a problem . I would say something like an AA s 400 would be a better gun . my gun was the stealth variant the longer barrel on a storm may change what I have just written it may be better or worse .

I filed a little out of my catch to make mine close smoothly oil and grease helped but the real problem was the leaver and the catch clashed a bit to much .

if you are shooting average weight 22 s of very heavy 177 s it sounds about right . if you feel you have a problem you will need a chrono . if the gun is shooting accurately out to 45 it is sounds ok .

Police would check with every pellet available to see if it goes over . 8.44 you should have that running @ 11.3 ish same with 13-14 gr pellet in .22 .
like I said airgun tuners normally set PCP guns up with a heavy pellet , something like JSB 10.3 gr in.177 and AA field 15.9 in .22
and these pellets have softer lead also

I would say no standard black widow will suit 8mm steel . Black widow bands I would say are good for shooting rocks and heavy ammo . The pouch is to heavy and the bands have a heavy pull . You have to balance your bands with your ammo , to shoot 8mm you will have make your own bands for the best results and they will need to be a lot lighter weight than black widow bands . I will think all black widow bands will shoot 8mm at the same speed ,
