  1. Beretta & Bennelli s/a are the best ones, use my Urika for rough shooting, pigeons & clays. Prefer it to the o/u because of the reduced recoil. I don't agree with this anti s/a snobbery - British disease just like wearing plus fours.
  2. Had the same problem 20 years ago, left a few acorns out on the balcony & sat well back in the room with the french doors open & shot them as they came to feed. Got them all over 3 days.
  3. Adding a reg to an ultra will more then double the shot count.
  4. AKA Beeman Crowmag, apparently the .20 cal ones are OK at about 18 / 20 Ft lbs, got them in .22 & .25 myself, they tumble so sometimes hit target semi-side on, hence v. effective but only at short range.
  5. Hi, been shooting for 35 years, everything from rats to boar. Mainly shotguns & air rifles for pest control now.
  6. £400..... AA s400, within budget & better than s200 BSA Scorpion FX Typhoon All above below £400 if you shop around.
  7. Firstly, PCPs are within your budget & easier to shoot accurately and to longer ranges then springers, CO2 are garbage. Multi shot pcps are useful for pestcontrol as they avoid fumbling for pellets, especially useful in the dark if you want to do some lamping. Your budget of £450 accomodates some good air rifles: Air Arms s400 (single shot, the multi shot AA s410 will be nearer £500) BSA Scorpion T10 (multi shot) FX Typhoon T12 (multi shot) The Webley Raider 10 shot now has a RRP of £299, seems to have a good rep BUT I don't have any experience of it so won't recommend it myself.
  8. Not one but two favourites in my case: FX2000 Air Ranger
