  1. Dont think your wrong as such good and bad in every one. what you have to remember is that the new generation of hunters are 10-30 yrs old, they dont do it now cos its illegal, theyve always done it but its not 'cool' to wear other stuff, i go coursing with young and old, some in tracksuits and trainers, some in full camo, some in shirt and tie, takes all sorts, but as long as we all like the same thing who cares. Its easy to say these are the people giving the sport a bad name but some of these 'kids' have never owned a dog before ban, but used to do it as a youngster. The temptation of
  2. The scooter scene is quite strong in the UK. I travel to rallies all over, was at a do on Sat night, 400 turned up. I have a collection of Lambrettas and yes, your right, the money is ging mental, but there is still a strong young scene of lads and girls geting into it. Yes I am 43, and yes, I have a parka
  3. Been thinking about this more. This law is to stop unautherised access to under 18 yes ?? if that is so then it will surely only apply to people with under 18`s in the house. If you have children then securing your gun makes sense. I stil don`t like the way this is going, Up here in Scotland we have big noises wanting all aiguns banned so maybe I am a bit more sensitive to change than some of you Southerners! I still maintain that if you have kids 14 to 18 at home ,then you can give them writtn permission to shoot in the house, That should cover you ! As an aside, I am seriously t
  4. Not everyone who does not secure there guns is an "idiot, who does not give a shit" All my liscenced weapons are locked away, but my air guns are not. Why should they be ?? there are no children in my house and when I go out I lock the house. The facts as I see them are that 99% of airgun crime ,is some kids running about with a BB gun, softair etc, and theese bang up the crime numbers and give the Police and Polititions plenty of ammo, for when a serious event occurs (which is quite rare) Who here has heard of an incedent where children got there hands on a parents airgun, (yes I know it`
  5. Ey up OK I am going to stand corrected here and if I have offended Terrier then I apologise to him. Can we move on from the tracksuit issue, Am I wrong about the element of lurcher owners I am talking about. I hope so cause it seems to me that I am seeing more and more of them in the lurcher scene. Am I wrong about them being attracted to the lurcher scene because they see it as an illegal activity and not because it`s a sport ???. For the record, I am not posh, love coursing and never got it banned. I just don`t like what I`m seeing in some areas with lurchers making the headlines for
  6. TBH it was more the setting his dog on "da hares ass" thing that got me, I wonder if he ate the hare ,, or hung it in his bedroom and "popped a cap in itz ass" on camera for his website. Although the trackies don`t help. The clothes aside, do you agree or disagree with the point, genuinely interested. ATB
  7. Absolute dawdle bud, very easy. Pin punch to remove the trigger. by the time I had messed about trying different tubes an springs it took an hour all in. ATB
  8. This comment is bollocks I've seen some brilliant hare dogs bred of council estate lads who treat them and hares with the respect they deserve you get diks whatever there social standing. And this guy is a dik What one ???
  9. Ok I have used the trackie thing a a descriptive and understand that not everyone in a tracksuit is a chav but that doesn`t change what I am saying The comment is not bollocks as it is a fact. I agree that not every one in a trackie is a chav and I am from a council estate bud so I know they are not the issue, Get backto my main point and tell me whether you think I am right or wrong, and why?? ATB
  10. A bit impractical. Some places have more hares than you could shake a stick at, and a couple of places round me want them off as they view them as a pest, getting away from my above point though !! ATB
  11. I already have my dream rifle,,my Daystate Airranger !!! I suppose ,if it were to come with a skeleton stock !
  12. Ok here goes. Is it just me or has the lurcher world been taken over by the trackies tucked into socks brigade just a bit too much I have worked and been around lurchers all my adult life and am begining to hope that the hare ban is not lifted.(for the saftey of the hare population) The fact that it is illegal has gotten a lot of folk into lurchers and all for the wrong reasons, I hate to think of the carnage if they thought they had the right to go mental on the Hares "ass" (dear god!!). I realise that hunting hares with lurchers is an amazing sport, and that in areas that need culls,
  13. Bought the trigger kit for me 22 from rimfire magic and fitted it today. OMG what a difference!!, used the small (blue) tube on the sear and fitted the 2lb spring, prefect Nice crisp break and a clean pull, has completely done away with creep. Tried the 1.75lb spring but felt a wee bit wary as the gun gets a hard time.(paranoia as the sear was fine!) I cannot recommend this mod highly enough, The standard trigger has done me for years and only now I realise how shit it really is ! Best tenner spent on any gun. For anyone interested I now have the Red tube and the 1.75lb and 1lb s

  16. Yeh that was my point If the kids are granted permission to shoot in the house then leaving acces to the guns is not a crime. If they took them out with them thats different but the point was that allowing them acces to the guns in the house was an offence. I was half joking ,but it stands up. Allowing access to guns in house = offence Allow shooting permission inside house, then no offence if guns are not locked away !! Yay! . ATB
  17. Oh dear god !! Whats worse is that I pissed mesell at the punchline,
  18. Whisky cures all known man flu`s ATB Stubby
  19. FAC for what ??? if you mean the 52, that was on the owners FAC 7 years ago when I used it !! This is an airgun forum and people discuss FAC weapons as well so avoid jumping at folk that discuss them, The implication they may be breaking the law will not be appreciated, especially by FAC holders like myself!. Secret agent eh!! copper, or coppers grass maybe !?? ATB We have a few shooters on here that are members of the Police force I am privilaged to know a few shooters who are Police officers both on here and on other forums. I spent an hour talking to one on the phone last n
  20. I know wher you`re coming from, But theres lots you`re allowed to do that you can`t do in public Answers on a postcard please !!lol
  21. Hmmm! Lots of people never grew up on farms. The fact is we kill things and move dead animals about. Being a bit discrete is to our benefit really. Just saying put up or shut up doesn`t really cut it. Like saying an open abattoir in the town centre should sort the moaners out. My tuppence worth , I don`t pander to soft hearted antis ,but still act discretely in public places.
