  14. Have to say, I`ve never heard of this before, but if one of my dogs was injured by something like this then whoever put it up would seriously regret it. The payback would be massive . What a f****n horrible thing to do, Victorian really. Atb
  15. Was at Armadale on Sat and don`t recall seeing xenon lamps. I got my Lightforce from there though One of my dive lamps is xenon and I sometimes take it lamping with me as an aux light, Nice bright light from it .The color temp is low so its a harsh light that ,to me, works better underwater than on land, I find that identifying stuff at the edge of the beam is harder than with my Striker. Color is easier to determine with the warmer light, xeneon kind of makes everything look the same color. My mate used an LED gunlamp and I find the same with this. Great for closer work but not as good as
  16. Used this technique this weekend on Red Deer calf to good effect. Knife has to be at least 6" long though, which is illegal...that's the problem methinks ;-) Whats illegal about a knife over 6" ??. Perfectly legal if required

What is really stupid is that you can legally carry a 3" knife ,but it must be a less safe non locking knife. Stupid!

you would think this is the truth but its not. i got pulled in my van on my way hunting i was searched and they found a 3 and a quater inch locknife ,the french wooden handled type designed for hunting ,in my van were three dogs my lamp rucksack and some fishing gear ,i was then arrested for carrying a bladed article in a public place and van impounded even though it was fully legal i got my van back and went to court i was fined 400 pounds and 120hours community service because it was a lock knife and over 3 inchs and even though they had stopped me i was in a public place the pavement ,the a

It is legal to carry any slipjoint knife (non locking blade) with a blade of 3" or less, no reason is needed but it can still fall into the offencive weapon category if you threaten someone with it. I carry a small Case whittler with me everywhere, at all times. ANY knife ,sword ,machete, chainsaw can be carried, if you have good reason for it. If you have any of the above with you in the car, with no good reason ,this is an offence. unless locked in the boot ( NOT in the hatchback, ie in the back of the landy, as the inside of your car is a public place. 24. Lucky to get it back in one piece then !
