  1. check where he would go for water, pigs are like cattle and often use the same track each day so be on the lookout for tracks etc leading away from water, once you find where he is walling and drinking just wait there at different times throughout the day,in the middle of the heat is good as they are never to far away from water when hot

the last couple i have taken were up around monto qld, and they can run like the wind.these were taken with a deerhound/stag/pit. while they were near a dam going for water.i think if you have a fast hard dog with a good mouth then you can easily take them if you can somehow ge them out in the open country a bit more,,maybe drop a dead beast there for food?..they put up a goodfight but do not last long and like i said if you have a dog with a good mouth of him you will take em

plenty of dingo's near me and even more wild dogs.they tend to just frk of before you even get close .but on accasions yo uwill get one in the light that will stand for you to take a shot.the wild dogs are really casuing havoc in se qld aust at the moment and the councils are dcarrying out baiting programs so if ya out ya have to watch ya dogs..i have a mate that traps for a local council here and he is allways getting plenty
  5. a fella over here has a lovely line of english bull greyhounds going and they are tops on hogs, but most your purebreds do well also, ridgebacks being one
  6. patterdale you do not need any big meat head dog..the dogs you fellows use over there for other game would work well..bull/grey would be a nise choice
  7. i have worked a fair few deerhound and there cross's on pigs and i would rate them as highly as i would any other hunting dog in australia..they tend to take a little bit longer than a lot of the other breeds we use here but once they switch on there is no stopping them
  8. lol the yd obite but they won't kill ya unless of course the infection sets in..
