  1. personal note to myself i must call foxes more often There has to be a pun somewhere for dogging and squeaking foxes, but I can't for the life of me think of one!..
  2. Lithium polymer batteries used to explode/catch on fire when under heavy load but I haven't had any problems with my 22ah lithium ion one as of yet... 2 years on still going strong I also have the variable 170 tracer the whole set up beats carrying a car battery round on an old metal framed rucksack!!! But I was a lot fitter then....
  3. This is my neck of the woods too, I love exploring with the dogs here, getting lost, finding my way back again only to do exactly the same the next time! One day that's going to back fire on me...
  4. Nice result... I bet the other guy would be even more pissed off if he read this, lets hope he has!!! Ha ha!!!
  5. Belting looking animals you have BS, always nice to see well kept and fit dogs, you have clearly put a lot of time and effort in to them. All the best Sniffer
  6. At a quick glance it looked like the Buddha statue was stroking the dog! Either that or knocking one out!!! Nice part of the world there bud, dog does look well.
  7. Very nice indeed! I can't wait to get my rifle license for this very reason.
  8. I rarely come home with more than a couple of rabbits on my permission, be it ferreting or lamping what ever! My best nights lamping is still only 6 rabbits with my last dog Tilly, with Rue it's 4 rabbits and an accidental canadian goose!!! F@ck knows what happened there! I have always been amazed/envious of the numbers some catch on here, but at no point have I enjoyed myself any the less, even when I blank. I'm just a simple lad that likes getting out and about, trying to get the odd feed here there, keeping my dogs and myself fit. I understand for some people it's a numbers game and also un
  9. I agree that the nails could do with trimming but surely this shouldn't keep happening? Taz n Lily thanks for that, I didn't think it would be too much of a problem either both my big toes are nailless! I have suggested a second opinion to him already but I think he was probably hoping for a recommendation.
  10. Hi all, I was asked for a bit of advice recently as a good friends dog Ralph keeps losing his nail when worked. The lad in question does everything right in my eyes, the dog gets rested for months then when the nail has grown back he starts out gentle with walks on the lead etc. then on to a bit of retrieving down the beach, moving on to the fields after that until the dog is good and fit again. As soon as he goes out lamping pretty much the first run will result in losing the nail again. The dog does run hard (pretty heavy footed) but isn't a big heavy dog nor has he been worked hard in
  11. I always find these post's amazing.... In a completely jealous way! Could you possibly just put up a post where you were all voomed up for a great night, everything was in your favour etc. and you drew a blank? Just to make me feel better. Well impressed with the dedication of you boys and your mutts, I always wonder what my dog would think if we had that kind of game around my way... Probably when can we go home Dad?
  12. Might be something stuck inside the cut, a bit of stick, foreign body of some sort. Usually (I say usually, this has happen to my dog three times!) when squeezed the puss comes out with a splinter in it. The last one I had was a 1 1/2" long though. But as always, if you are unsure see a vet as could save you money in the long run!
  13. My 2 have just started talking back that and woke the kids up! Dogs are great aren't they!
  14. looks like an accident waiting a little too long to happen
  15. Sitting in the snow is one thing... but, humping it!!!? Nice dog, great pics.
  16. Nice pics! Lucky rabbit... Kinda deserves to get away pulling that out of the bag!
  17. I do the same as this, I just do with a carp fishing rod and a rabbit skin for the lure, works a treat
  18. Mr Harris has a few other problems, it has been suggested by some that he was the yr old man arrested as part of Operation Yewtree (the Jimmy Saville enquiry), the 80yr old man had enough money to take out a super injunction though so his name can't be reported .............. Shit.... He came to our school once when I was in an art class, my tutor got the arse with him and asked him to move on... Far out! I got a Rolfaroo and everything!!!
  19. Some really interesting points have been put across here, regarding mobile phones, gps etc. I take it that the images that have been confiscated are on some form of digital device, computer, phone, whatever... Which as many people have said, is just a plain stupid thing to do... While I feel for the said party and the charges etc. Why put yourself in that position in the first place? While it is good to see these reports/accounts of hunts from other countries etc. on forums and it wets our appetite to do something similar, the bare bones of it is you just can't, not in this country. What ever
