  1. Fingers crossed that these dogs do get returned to there rightful owners if they have been stolen and not mis-treated by the RSPCA as well…..
  2. I guess it is like anything, I have spent years working hard building up a good reputation for my plumbing business, but you can lose that in the matter of minutes if your not careful...
  3. I was invited out on a friend's bit of permission local to me, to go with him stalking last year and had a similar experience. Where some unscrupulous tw@t had dumped three of them in the scrap pile around the back of the shed when he whizzed round for a pee, one had been there a while, the other two maybe a couple of days… I cannot understand the mentality of these people, let alone the fact they are allowed firearms
  4. I'm pretty sure lipo batteries can stay in what ever state for long periods of time... Half charged, flat, whatever that was one of the selling points in the building trade.
  5. I haven't got any dogs either but would love to see what bitch you plan on putting one over
  6. Interesting post… I have only had lurchers of my own for the past 4-5 years and have never had a dog before this, so as a new comer I don't know any different to it being a pain to get into, I am lucky to have enough permission to keep me, my dogs and the odd mate in reasonable sport and I'm picking up more all the time I'm getting the confidence to ask for it… Laws dictate what you can and cannot do in all aspects of life, so you just have to adjust to them as best as you can, again I have not known otherwise so can't say that it's not as good as it used to be... But family life has and d
  7. Another reason for keeping my dogs under lock and key… Do many people lock their kennels whilst they're out? It's getting to a point now where they need to be in cells not kennels! Security camera's never seem to show these buggers faces because all they have to do is cover them up… I wish you all the luck in the world in getting your dogs back… And I hope the culprit's get reprimanded appropriately... All the best
  8. Good going for the dog and sounds like you're putting the hours in as well!!! atb
  9. Great pics, some serious land around you, All the best
  10. Cracking write up… Cracking pics as well, looks like you had a great day, enjoying the weather whilst I had to drain water out of a 1 customers oil tank, remove a kids toy from the u bend on a toilet pan and finish up getting covered in fibre glass whilst changing a ball valve. Then get moaned at for stinking of all of the above when I got home, fancy trading places next time?
  11. How did you manage that run it over? Never let your mutts run beside the truck, I used to quite a lot, especially on the way to one perticular customers house, I always used to let her jump out the window and tear off across the field whilst driving down the lane, to try and catch the pheasies! She used to come back and trot beside me, unbeknown to me somebody was shooting down the lane, she got startled I think and crunch! Game over...
  12. Its funny how nobody ever says, 'I don't see the point of more than one dog' when somebody like Moll. puts up a post up with all the fantastic photo's of the dog's working… All looks like good fun to me, keep at it
  13. Its tricky isn't it, I made myself a bit of a promise this year, to try and get out and meet new, like minded people that are into their dogs, with the aim of making friends that will last a life time. It is beginning to seem like I'm setting myself up for a fall… A forum like this could be a great place if everybody on it was genuine, but how can you tell? You can't!… So I will just have to pick my victim… Stalk them a bit …. Stalk them a bit more …. Till such a time that I know there decent!!! lol. Then I will probably still be too scared to introduce myself
  14. I put a go pro on one of my dogs once, which was great right up until she went up to another dogs arse as it was taking a dump!!! Nose right in there… Nice!
  15. Nice, I think mine would be gone in no time around there, nice looking part of the world your in.
  16. I keep my dogs in the house for a few different reasons; 1, I like to know that they are safe indoors, especially with all the thieving that has been going on. 2, Even with 3 kids, the house feels empty without a dog indoors, I hated it when I ran my first dog over and the house was empty. 3, They aren't bad guard dogs and let me know when someone is snooping around outside. Which is also good when I'm working away as it is a bit of security for my wife. Dogs indoors suit me better but if I had anymore than the 2, I would have to put them in the Kennel or my wife leave me! Every dark
  17. Isn't rickets a lack of nutrients like calcium and vitamin d? In which case I don't think a couple of days of cod liver oil will do. But a good balanced diet and a decent amount of chicken carcusses sorted a mates bull cross out after a while and that pup was in a right state. (I can't speak from my own experience though)
  18. He's certainly looking well Jai
