  1. I'm doing the dalesway , just me and one of the dogs 1st week in August , ilkley to Windermere , can't wait , gona camp all the way , cook up some rabbit stews , drink some real ales , bliss .

  3. There's not much out there that's waterproof and durable , which is also lightweight and quiet to walk in . Some times I wear lightweight waterproof fell running over trouser underneath a pair of old style british army lightweights .

  6. Hi lads , this my 3/4 saluki greyhound pup from jigsaw , 6months old now, and doing really well , I'm well pleased with her so far , thanks .
  7. Yep , it would be completely unworkable , kids are far to streetwise nowadays , would be mayhem . I think the money would be better spent on some sort of schemes that would give kids more oppurtunitys ,life experience , team work skills , adventure training etc , a lot of youth only know drugs and violence , they don't know anything else .
  8. We went a few years ago , had a great week , not a cloud in the sky all week . Sailed over to Arran , and camped on the tops near goat fell , then upto glencoe and camped in the hanging valley , upto fort William and did a few peaks round there, then onto Oban and mull , beautiful! Nows the time to go tho , to avoid the midges !
  9. I have a 2 x4ft tube heaters , thinks their around 280watts , so don't cost alot , I think if the whippets could talk ,they vote to have heating in winter , lol . Makes things a lot easier and cleaner than having straw and that IMO . But each to their own .
  10. Put heating in the sleeping area mate , keep at 10+c and it'll b fine .
  11. Hi rabbit catcher , I got mickmanbridge rabbiting ,lurcher fieldcraft , the whippet, whippets at work , fistful of ferrets and a few others if u want to swap , they are copies tho .

  18. Have a look at the army issue jungle boots mate , there light as a feather , comfy , dry out quickly, great for just kicking around in , I bet u can get them cheap .

Great read lads , here's a few more some from the s Peg guns , mud wangers , home made go carts , manhunt , Kerby , playing on factory roofs , and jumping across certain death drops ! , what about the skiddy patches in winter at school , they'd never allow them now . We were happy just digging a big hole !
