  1. Aye antihistamine and anti inflammatory would be what I'd go for.. My dogs head swelt like a balloon one day.. Dont know the cause but though bee or wasp sting.. Have a look for small puncture hawthorn / blackthorn can cause infection / poisoning. If it's not gone down, I'd ring the vet mate..
  2. Have you read it DB?? Have you got a link to the book ??

    Lungs?

Ray most meat is 70 odd % moisture.. Tripe is a super food for dogs. Stinks like shit but good scran never the less..

    Lungs?

Lungs ain't muscle, it's a organ.. Classed as "lights" and would be considered inferior to tripe in nutritional value. Part of a balanced diet it's okay but it would not be the bulk of any of my feeding regimes..
  5. Cracking looking dogs Mally.. If I was after a whippet, they would be the stamp I'd want..
  6. The signs & warnings are for mitigation.. If you happen to injury yourself you were warned.. Its a get out of jail card lol
  7. Wow a blast from the past.. I always enjoyed your informative posts...
  8. Some won't wise up till their door is coming threw, with the police & RSPCA mob handed.. lads still continue to post alsorts on facebook & even have their profile pictures set with themselves holding quarry... These folk might as well walk themselves down the station... Folk have been getting themselves caught for years now, but still it continues.
  9. Cracking post mate.. Really enjoyed that and your craftsmanship looks second to none.. Your setup looks A1.
  10. Hyperclorite in a watering can.. You won't even have to pressure wash it..
  11. I stayed at Cappoquin and drove every day to Clonmel, it was a half an hour drive but our digs where cheap.. Clonmel is dear & gets booked up quickly.. I went for a week , hired a car and had a good rake about. Flew to Dublin.. Had a decent Italian & Indian in clonmel.. Canny mind the name of the Italian but the Indian was called "Indian Ocean " It was really good scran and they give me and my mrs shots with the bill.. We stayed at a B&B called the "Pilgrims Rest". If your just on the pop you'd be better getting accommodation at Clonmel.. Pu
  12. Boiled are different to roasted.. Roasted splinter.. Boiled rabbits and chickens are okay.. I'd give lamb bones raw & the bigger bones ain't much cop.. There ok for entertainment for the dogs but find ribs, necks have more meat on them..
  13. Good on you MIK.. Some lads would of panicked & the dog would not be with them now.. Glad it turned out right for you.
  14. Xray is good idea.. . If it's dislocated it can be popped back in. If it's smashed, ops and pins would be the road,I'd go down..
  15. Tough call really... Ive had one break a toe and it healed fine with rest and never troubled the dog again.. Another bitch broke a middle toe and it kept breaking despite rest .. A xray showed it was smashed with loads of fragments.. With advice the toe was removed, however the outside toe went on to break mulitiple times & the dog was retired.. Id go for a pin before removing a toe if possible.. Hope it heals well for you..
