great thanks i would rather listen to experience on here then buy one rather than buy one on impulse which is how i got the rifle. only went into my local gun smiths for some maggots for a bit of trout fishing down the river and seen it in the window, five mins later driving home with maggots and a shiny new rifle

Hi All I have just bought my first rifle and need to buy a scope but not sure what to get so putting myself in the hands of the forum rifle is SMK 17 dont really know if its a good one or not but guy in the shop said it was a good place to start so what the hell we all got to start some where

can anyone tell me where i can go or give any advice they can on how to find somewhere to shoot some rabbit or pigeon in the ayrshire area or even outside that area at a push

what part of glasgow is it and what range and power does it have i am interested (also cant work this bloody computer so may have cocked this up)

a big thanks to everyone who replied i would rather take advice from actual sportsman than go with what i read on the label. i will be checking out the second hand gear right now but i am still stuck for somewhere to go shooting

fantastic , only just starting using thisa site and a reply already, think im going to like this site. right now i have no preference as to what type of rifle i get and budget depends on value for money but would like to get a cheap one to start of with around £200 (might not even need to be new. i havent used a rifle in a few years so aim might need some work but in the army i had a 45mm grouping at 100m (but that was with 5.57mm rounds)

im new to here so hope this works. im looking for advice on where to to go shooting (ayrshire) and a good intermediate rifle
