    What do you guys look for in a new pup! I tend to go with temprement (not to crazy not to quiet) big feet and chest and react well to a little squeek and call?? Is there anything else maybe I should look for?? What do you guys tend to do???

    I can understand why the law would ban digging if it was mistaken for baiting cause that is barbaric!! Surely they understand the diffrence though???

    Excuse me for my stupidity as I'm not a digging man. What is the diffrence between digging and baiting?? I know what digging is but don't know what baiting is Could some one explain??

    I wouldnt worry to much just let the pup be a pup for now worry about wether she makes the grade after shes turned 12 months! Because I wouldnt care if my dog looked like a bulldog if it did what I wanted it to. Worst thing you can do is worry by measuring her everyday and taking her out at say 6 months lamping that's how first dogs get ruined!!! Because novices panick abouth there pups! Trust me been there got the t-shirt I'm lucky some caught hold of me and wised me up!!! Now my dog is doing her job well and I'm proud as punch!!

    Iv'e had a good season seeing as it's my first. The bitch has proved herself. She's hard as old boots get's knocked about but jus get's up and cracks on. she's learned one hell of a lot in one season so a nice rest then some hard fitness and bring on anything that moves at the end of the beam next year!! Will hopefully have my terrier going in the next few weeks so next season should be intresting.

    Just come back from the vets and my lurcher has been given antibiotics. Iv'e been told (and I don't know where ) that antibiotics can affect the performance of a lurcher. Is this true??? Any insight will help thanks

    I'm looking for a beddy greyhound or a wheaton greyhound out of good stuff! Can any one point me in the right direction? Ideally I would like a 5/8 3/8 or a 3/4 1/4 but a good half cross would suffice. Big Thanks Cymru

    I fancied a beddy whippet before getting my bitch (collie grey x whippet), but as most of my hunting is around lamping then I wanted a dog with a bit more size as I find a taller dog see's down the lamp better. She has much more stamina than a straight whippet and her nose is amazing for a young unexperienced dog. If you want a lamping dog look out for a good line bred lurcher to lurcher pup that have parents proven to lamping. just my opinion. Also if the ban is overthrown that dog might be capable of taking foxes and more likely to take one than a beddy whippet as some do but most don'
