    hi mate, i have a pup now coming up to 6 months old i was told to feed her twice a day until 12 months old, not sure on this but will follow this advice. Good luck Iv'e heared many diffrent people say diffrent things about when to start feeding once a day! I'm not completely sure when to start feeding my bitch once a day so I obviously want to make then right desicion!! What are all your views on when to start feeding once a day?? Or do you feed twice all the time?? Cheers

    Iv'e decided to start feeding my pup once a a day as she's now coming up 6 months in a week. I currently feed her a small chicken carcass in the morning and a pound of tripe and half a chopped carrot in the evening! When I start feeding her once a day should I be giving her more in quantity of food as I am going to feed her carcass one day tripe the next. Should the servings be bigger than what I was feeding her twice a day?? Thanks Happy Hunting

    Iv'e jus moved into my new house been ther since start of december!! Now my pup has been in the kennel since the day we moved in and didn't make a noise the neighbours have told me and the missus that she's been no trouble at all!! Iv'e been looking for a lodger and then a opportunity arised where my missus brother either had to get rid of his dog because his old ladie can't handle him or move out with the dog he's a 8 month old lurcher of deerhound/greyhound/whippetX Greyhound/Whippet/bull (long line of blood) Anyway he moved in sunday and we put the dog in the kennel with my pup

    Excuse the ignorance, but why should we believe you? The law relates to any 'pit bull type' dog - so I have to wonder why ANYONE would want a lurcher that resembles a pit bull type? because some of us don't want a lurcher that resembles a collie :whistle: , and more to the point there used for a job, a job that a collie can not do By the way DIGGIT the job your realating to is also banned!! And also Id like to state that a collie lurcher can do the job that your suggesting if trained properly!! And I haven't got to worry that if my dog get's out its not going to kill a

    My pup Flash is 5 Months now and still very puppyish. Iv'e done basic training she knows sit and lay down and get in the box and so on but I'm having real trouble with recall. When she's off the lead in the garden she'l play all day. when I call her to me she'l either just look or run around when I aproach her she goes down on her front then barks and runs away as if teasing. Naturally Il walk away she'l come close again but won't let me near enough to get hold of her!! This can be very annoying at times but Iv'e never punished her for this!! if any one could give me some

    I'm not saying a Pitbull cross can do a job better or worse as Iv'e seen them work and know how good their hearts are!! I'm just annoyed a little at the way some people think. People can't find valid arguments so they take it out on people with collie crosses!!! I'l take back what I said about the pits killing!!     Started giving my bitch of 21 weeks RMB today she loved it was unsure of how much to give her so cut the neck off of a chicken back wich is basically a carcass with out wings legs and breast and threw it in for her. I had to leave for work when I got back she'd eat the lot. Is this to much for her as I havnt fed her this afternoon because of all that she eat!! I still need to feed her twice a day!!     My mate just got a Beddy Grey at a year old!! He was told it was only worked a little before he had it but we took it lamping and he was yards from a good pick up and started opening up!! Don't know if this is a common thing or wether the dog had been worked very young without any success!! Just thought Id add that little story though!! lol
