  1. Alright lads was on the river yesterday fishing for trout with worm didn't catch anything and to make thing worse I've woke up this morning with swollen itchy as hell watery eyes. Also itchy neck and ears look like the fuk in elephant man. This has happened before but couldn't put my finger on what triggered it off after searching the internet seems it's not that uncommon to be allergic to worms had some Benadryl this morn also tried antiestimeans but still look like a c**t anyone else had this or know of any treatment/relief can't find anything on the web and woman at the pharmacy has never heard of it cheers lads

  2. Just got in after a quick hour with my new dl100 and yes the spread was more than I was expecting the white light didn't bother me at all didn't miss anything with it at least I think not.... Does have a fair bit of glare but loved not having a wire hanging lose was a piece of piss jumping fences opening gates ect couldn't get a gauge of beam distance because was limping next to the motorway so fields were half lit but don't think it would be anywhere near as good as strikers blitzs and so on but that's why it's 50 quid n not 300. Has any one used the 120 yet think that would have been the better buy.

  3. What a weekend and as always made to feel welcome by the lads already spoke to a few of my pals who are gona take the trip over next year this show is only gona get better. Come back with a sore head but well worth it.the prizes from the digging comp are very generous well done to all the boys it wasn't easy in that ground with and that heat I'll tell you and I know some lads had it worse than others. Well done to kev pat and all the lads who put the effort in to make it a great day and every one who turned up with a dog a real hotbed of working dogs being shown the way it should be.

  4. This is a show that all others should be aspiring to some proper working terriers/lurchers and owners to match. Pat and Kevin put a huge amount of work into making this show what it is and it pays off dividends they are extremely hospitable and always make me and my friends feel welcome well done lads. Just make sure your mum locks her bedroom door this year mate

Do you mean Clogg, John's 5/8ths out of Pye, if so, no he never was put to anything.
yes that's right bosun was called clogg cause of his rough linty coat very odd for a bull cross I no. I remember j telling me that clogg went for his daughter once until spike seen this then knocked f**k out of him clogg was the much bigger dog as well

  7. They all started 100s of years ago by men who knew the successful ingredient to raring workers. Then handed down just the same as all other fieldcraft...

they all started 100s of years ago bullshit if your talkin breed then yes maybe but not lines.... People start lines by breeding worker to worker some of them may come from existing lines some maybe scatter bred but the well known lines of today's terriers have only been line bred for the amount of time the said person has been breeding dogs and I don't think there are many 200 year old terrier men.

  8.

Recessive genes, half bred double bred dominant colouring.... I'll stick to the basics a dog that stays til dug over a bitch that stays til dug

Duke,if only life was that simple, the further you get away from known parentage, the more scatter bred they become, not only making it uncertain of colour, stamp, etc, but also uncertain of working ability, thats why the likes of Nuttall,Chapman,Mouseley, etc all went back to basics when starting a line, years ago there were only a handful of breeders specialising in one type, i.e.: Patts,Russells, etc and if you were after a guaranteed worker providing you had the dosh they would sell you one, whereas now there are loads of wannabes that are putting worker / worker as you say but still producing sh*te, there is no quick way to quality, you may get lucky here and there but genetics will always come out in the end, WM

all lines are started by worker to worker mate

  9. I turned up at his house late one night and when we pulled on our headlights lit up the yard there must of been 50 rats lit up haha there was dogs of all shapes and sizes running about crazed trying to kill them. Think we split three fights up that night wasn't wat we needed after a long slog from England but we still laugh about it now

  10.

He had a wheaten called Rambo or rocky if I remember right lined about 50 bitches on his yard and killed bout the same amount of terriers as well

He had a wheaten called rocky and a wheaten cross called rambo .I dont think either ever killed a dog .They were put to a few bitches rambo was put to a couple of greyhounds.I had a pup of one of them not a hare dog but rabbit fox or some thing rougher no problem.Ted was put to a couple of wheaten bitches and one lucher bitch.Theirs a man on here had a pup of a son of rocky to a greyhound some people say he was a good hare dog.
I was there 30 years ago and he had a wheaten chained to the ground and every other dog terrier and lurcher knew how near they could get within safety of the chain and 1 day he moved the dog over a few feet to move a trough and the next day there was 3 dead terriers around it but yes I am exagurating to say 50 but I for a fact he was bred to a lot of bitches because I had pups out of 3 different bitches he was put over and that was to terriers never mind lurchers
