  1. Good shooting Aaron, You have an eye for the pretty birds!
  2. Underlever for me. I still own an Airsporter MkII and it is as accurate as (Almost!) any springer I've ever used. Never really got on with break barrells. I had one and sold it almost immediately!
  3. Its longer to keep people with funny comment quiet. ;) As I said before, Amateurs built the Arc Pro's made the Titanic. Anyway I made this one for Bubbleduck but have another one in the pipeline for myself. ATB Michael Who, those waa-waa's in Belfast? They're professionals all right, just not at ship building!
  4. i use the ultra multi shot and i find it a nice bit of kit although the standard silencer lets it down a bit but can quite simply be replaced, good luck Agreed. The only benefit of the standard silencer is the compact size. Apart from that, set it aside and get a decent one!
  5. wow, magic shooting! thats some haul!
  6. Good job, get a polishing mop for the bench grinder and get it sparkling!
  7. You're only in Nottingham, I'm just outside Rugby... you're welcome to come and have a go with my BSA Ultra Multishot .22.... but it's not for sale!
  8. Look in the For Sale section on this website..... thats where I got mine!
  9. great story, well deserved success!
  10. Hey Toka, I never seen your post before. Thats exactly the same torch and mount that I got. They're both excellent.
  11. Everyone has their own opinion, and I'm not a salesman for BSA so I won't disagree with your opinion of the looks. However, on the accuracy front I can single group 5 pellets at 30 yards with my Ultra.... but maybe i just get lucky.... a lot!
  12. My advice..... if cost is an issue then don't get a pcp. The gun is just a starting point. You will also need either a pump (£100) or a bottle (£200) and a scope (£50-£100) and other accessories as you see fit, e.g. bag, sling, etc. etc (£50-£unlimited!)
  13. Stick with the superdomes. I would definietly check the output of the gun with a chrono. Just as an additional note.... Rabbits don't often stop dead when you shoot them... theres a fair old bit of nerves left in them and they will usually end up lying on their back with a hind leg shaking about
  14. Hi Mate, I've always shot with a .22 and whilst you do get the occasional incident where you don't get a direct kill, I would say it happens very rarely. Usually when it does happen there will be a simple explanation (e.g. pellet hitting a twig before the target, blustery wind, target getting spooked at the very instant you pull the trigger) but I can't think of a single incident where I've hit my intended quarry cleanly and not killed it (and I've killed a few hundred rabbits and a few hundred more pigeons!) However, I can't imagine that a .177 would be any worse at killing than a .22. T
  15. Not too sure if you'd see the benefit of silencing this gun. I think the spring might still be fairly loud.
  16. Its called the 3W Cree Lamp. I bought the C Cell one for about £12, the AA one is about £10 http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-8191.aspx Loads of battery life and easy to modify to put the switch on. Although I didn't do it like the guys post on here..... I cut a small plastic disc and wound a bare copper cable round each side of the disc. then I placed it between the battery and the spring at the end of the torch. Then I connected the wires to a doorbell switch with velcro on the back. The whole setup cost about £15.
  17. Definitely go for a good second hand springer. For a gun & scope I think you should be looking in the £150-£200 price bracket. Just in case you're worried that its a bit too much money, you should be able to sell your gun on (if you ever wanted to upgrade, or just don't get on with the sport) for roughly the same money as you paid for it. Don't be tempted with a new cheap (£100-£150) imported gun as you'll struggle to get a buyer for it if you ever want to sell it Oh, and a good starting point is the Guntrader website.... just google it!
  18. I think it was about £12 for the one I got. The smaller AA one was a tenner
  19. never used the Air Arms but I can verify that the Ultra is exceptionally good
  20. A few people can't believe how bright the Tesco LED torches are. For your benefit I've taken a few pictures. Here is my lamp mounted to my BSA Ultra. I bought one of those rubber & velcro mounts, it works perfect on either the silencer or the scope. The button is a doorbell!! I can still use the button on the back of the torch as a "master" switch. Here is a photo of the fence at the bottom of the garden, it is exactly 30 yards away. You can see my target holder on the top of one of the posts... I was trying to take a picture of it but its tough to aim a gun, press the button
  21. the more I hear about that gun, the more I like it! great story and pics
  22. My mate has a Rapid 12 and it blows me away everytime. Absolutely awesome. I think you need a Daystate to compete with it
  23. Money no object, I'd want the Hw100, but I'd suggest you look at some others.... I know more than a few people on here swear by Air Arms S410 and I can also add that my Ultra is as good as an R10 but at half the cost
  24. nice shooting, nice story too. Liked the bit about the crow getting grazed with a pellet!
