Caught the b*****d last night big old male. A want the female that's most probably with him now. Last night my live trap went off. My lad heard it through his bedroom window when on xbox. A went out trap triggered off but nothing in it. Just hoping it's not youngens maybe a mouse. But can't see a mouse knocking that plate down. Will see tonight set up a few nippers too plus the fenns back up. That's what a caught the male on last night.

Brilliant! Doubtful a mouse would set a fenn trap off

  4. Much appreciated mate, I just had a pair in my mixed flight as my Kids love to see them and their colours, spar got hold of the hen so the cock needs a mate.

not that worried about them breeding etc just a shame to have a cock without a hen

let me know what your man comes back with

    thanks again

  5. Was in the garden yesterday and I spotted this little bird on the floor and I walked up on it and managed to catch it with my hands.

couldn’t understand what was up with it, then I turned it around and found a massive tick on  its eye!
