  1. Please send any questions to the mobile number on thread as pm's may not be checked daily.

just to clarify, the quad without the tracks is not for sale, either a full package with tracks and quad or just the tracks.

there is also a full set of good tyres and wheel if bought as a package

  2. Camoplast tatou t4s track conversion kit for atv's . If you are looking at these you will appreciate how good these Canadian kits are and how much they transform the ability of an atv.

The tracks come with a fitting kit for a foreman 450 es.

These tracks give a ground pressure of less than 0.5psi (human foot average 7psi) and provide unrivalled traction as well as improving the ground clearance and stability of the atv.

They were bought for a moorland job of spreading seed on sssi sites where minimum ground damage was a priority and have had very little use.

    The belts are as new.

Provides greater traction, lower ground pressure and minimal ground damage or turning damage compared to an argo cat.

Quad is a 1998 honda foreman 450 es.

Road registered with a farm easy road lighting kit

    Ag registered with log book

For sale as track kit only or with quad as a turn key package.

    Track kit only £2750

Quad and track kit as a package £4250

The track kits alone with fitting mounts are just short of 5k new

  3.

    A gadwall

    A teal

    A mallard

    And lost a shoveler

Can't wait for the evening flight.

Sunday shooting of wildfowl is a regional thing and only banned in some areas, luckily not around here.

didn't think shovelers were on the list

Think you will find they are

  4. I am looking at getting some new tyres for my fourtrak, the ones on it at the moment are nexen all terrain and are rubbish.

I do most of my miles on the road but during the duck season use it on wet fields boggy gateways ect so need a good all terrain tyre.

The ones on it are 255-70-15, I have looked at the bf goodrich but the nearest size I can find is 235-75-15, not knowing too much about tyres I think this means the ones already on it would be 20mm bigger than the ones I would be putting on.

Am I correct in thinking there is 20mm differance in width?

Would the size differance mean any difference in performance, handling, ect?

What is the advantages and disadvantages of wider tyres over narrower ones in general and would 20mm make much differance anyway?

Can anyone think of a better choice of tyre or am I making the best choice?

The car hasn't been lifted, would 16 inch rims be an option or should I stick to the 15?

  5. Get yourself to a range with somebody experienced and try a few different makes and gr ammo. Make sure you only fire 3 or 4 shots and then let the barrel cool off. If the person you take with you can get good groupings then it is you at fault, if niether of you can get good groupings and the obvious things are all ok like scope tight, ammo not clipping moderator, moderator on tight ect then it may be a case of finding some ammo your rifle likes.

My tikka lite in .223 loves 55gr hornady (thumb nail groups of 4) but groupings are about 4 inch apart with the superfast 53gr ones, my zero shifts 2 inch to the right with 50gr ppu and the groups open up to about 1.5 inch but the 50gr hornady are all over the place.

  6. I was just wondering how much work would be involved in fitting a winch to my fourtrak.

I aren't wanting to pull myself up cliff's, it would only ever be used if I got stuck in boggy mud in gateway ect. As I have AT tyres fitted and not mud tyres I thought it may be a good idea as a back up for future.

Would I be able to just attatch it to the bull bar on the front of the car, I would presume the bull bar will be fixed to the chassis so could I just make a bracket up to attach it directly to the bull bar.

  7. I am pondering on making some live fox traps and wondered if anyone could point me invthe direction of where to get some strong wire mesh from.

A link to the exact mesh and where I can get it from would be good.

Ideally I would like to make a couple of traps and at £100 each I thought it may be cheaper to make them and I can make them a bit bigger than a bought one.

    Thanks

  8. I have been asked to control some rabbits on a caravan site near the Crook area but its too far for me to travel.

This would be a paid job presuming you are professional and have the correct experience and obviously the correct insurance.

I have not seen the land but can tell you the caravans are lived in all year round so you would need to be discreet.

Ferreting sounds a good option to me or possibly air rifle with nightvision being a more discreet method, I would presume snaring would not be appropriate due to dogs and cats being around.

The owners have suggested gassing but this would need to be done by someone with experience in this technique.

Please pm me with relevant experience, and what equipment and experience you have(ferrets, longnets, nightvision, gassing, trapping, ect) and I will pass these details on, please include a phone number.

This could also be an opportunity for someone that would just like a bit more land to do some ferreting or air rifle nightvision shooting as long as you are insured.

Please remember if you are insured through a shooting organisation then you most likely aren't insured to charge for a job.

I have posted this in the pest control area due as ideally this would be a chargeable job for a professional.

  9. The last time I ordered from them it took 12 days for my order to arrive, the flocked shell decoys were very poor quality and the sticks they sent with them wouldn't fit the decoys, I sent them back for a refund.

Previous to that I ordered a remote switch for a flapper and that didn't work, they replaced it and the new one they sent me only works from about 5 yards.

  10. Got 12 neoprene type shell decoys for sale if you are intrested, they are brand new to the market and are due to be launched by a well known company very soon.

They look the same as the ones made by pro decoys

    http://www.prodecoy.co.uk/

But only these ones are alot lighter, they don't have the metal plate in them like the pro decoy ones do, 12 of these neoprene ones I have wiegh about the same as 3 plastic shells.

£36 posted if you want them.

I can send you a photo to your phone or email if you pm me.

  11. I am looking for a lithium battery to power a pigeon magnet, I have looked at the deben and wildhunter ones but wondered if anyone has tried one of these cheaper Chinese ones.

They come in many different sizes from 2ah to 20ah and all seem to be in a blue plastic. They are less than half the price of the branded ones.

I wondered if anyone had tried them for lamping and could tell me if the stated ah is true or wether it is exaggerated like many Chinese imports.

Please look in the link below to get an idea of what I am talking about.

    This 18000mah battery is a 18ah for about £70
