  1. Hi, had this with my cocker pup for weeks, its was terrified of goin anywere nere the car and once in would start frothing and stuff coming out of both ends within a minute of driving, I did as already suggested with feeding in the car-- let them see their food in the bowl then they will probably follow you and let them see you put it in the car and then put them to eat it, I did this for a few days and also just sat the pup in the car standing near it building up to starting engine up etc, It is something that they do grow out of especially once they realise that going in there mean
  2. Yep I have got the box set and they are very good, very simple to understand and you see problems happening and how he deals with them, I have got various spaniel training dvds and I would say these are the best, wish I had watched them before I got my pup then I would of had a better understanding of what I was doing,
  3. Yes I have seen a few adds now with "rytex free" in them recently, just want to pick up on something rickyspringer mentioned, do you find them more sensitive than a springer of different breeding I have seen a few springers now from rytex breeding and they were VERY sensitive, just wondered if it was in the lines somewhere, also when they get mentioned to be "too hot" what would people say was "too hot" Thanks Yvonne
  4. What about FLICK nice name, short and simple,
  5. Thanks for the replys, am not sure if anyone else can see it or its only me but under my avatar there is a sort of meter bar and it says Warn Status ??? What is that, have I done something wrong already Thanks Yvonne
  6. Think they must still make them, as I just missed out on one on ebay think it was last week, might be worth having a look on there
  7. This is a pic of my cocker pup, I think she has been spending too much time with my lakeland !!
  8. I would say why not have a go !!! My sister has got a labradoodle who is about the same age, and she is a great retriever very fast and very "drivey", she was from a working lab and a show line poodle. Just because they are cross breeds doesnt mean they cant and they dont all cost "ridiculous" amounts of money, you will never know unless you give it a try, go for it
  9. Hi, joined the forum a while ago and just realised never posted an intro, I have a 5 month old working cocker who I am hoping to train up in the new year, never had spaniels before we have always had working terriers and shepherds so its all new but fun, I live in the Sunny North West near Southport and hope to contribute to some of the many posts on here Yvonne
