Hi all I've been looking at getting a schmidt & bender 2.5-10x56 klassik illuminated L7 Ret for my foxing rifle which is a 204ruger I know the optics are crystal clear looked through many and have owned a 8x56 s&b before, my only worry is with getting this scope is the mag going to 10x for those longer shots Wondering if anyone else uses this scope for foxing or uses this scope and what the sight picture is like at 200+yards ???? Cheers

  4. bullsnap I've got a millet 6-24x56 for sale target turrets side focus 30mm body mil dot retical if your interested
  5. They are okay scopes don't find them that clear my mates got one on he's HMR don't like them myself I would go for the 6-24x56 mtc viper much better scope and optics

I've killed many foxes with my 22rf just comes down to knowing you distance and bullet drop and placement of shot. i take shots out to 60yards normally but have taken longer but need to know your gun as said above,i always shot them between the eyes or nice neck shot drops them stone dead on the spot
  7. Bit late now but would go for two stage trigger got one on my anschutz trigger pull is light as a feather. What you go for in the end??

If your happy with your anschutz you've got now get the barrel cut down and threaded again cheaper option. cz are good guns won't go wrong with one but if you've got more money to spend go for the anschutz 1417 much better gun and 14" barrel nice and short, won't part with mine until a better model comes out.
  10. I would go for a 204ruger for fox got one myself flat shooting fast round does the job perfect charlie never get's up As for rabbit and hare would get a 22lr quiet and cheap to feed £40 for 500 rounds.

  12. I've had three this week in my trap a dog and two vixen and shot a dog on the golf course friday, going out tonight over the chicken farm will let you know how that goes

  14. shoot out of a vehicle most of the time on my farm shoots and fishing lake only walk round my golf course shoots because its easier and doesn't do any damage

  16. bisley cobra deluxe have one on my centerfire comfortable and strong only 30 pounds also have a buffalo river neoprene sling great sling too
