  1. Hi all I've recently decided to splash out and treat my .22 rimfire to some new optics, no particualar reason, just for a change I suppose. I am looking at spending no more than £200, and I came accross the above mentioned scope that seems to be selling at nearly half price. As I know very little about optics, I was just wondering if anybody has owned or used the Nikon Field Master 3-9x50 M NP Rifle Scope and could pass on any relevant info both good or bad, Atb, John http://www.uttings.co.uk/p102935-nikon-field-master-3-9x50-m-np-rifle-scope/
  2. Hi roosika I bought a brand new HW100s in .177 and it's by far the best pcp I've ever owned. Effortless side lever cocking, Excellent trigger, 2 metal 14 shot magazines with purchase, and build quality second to none. Not to mention the safety feature that prevents the shooter from loading 2 pellets into the barrel at the same time, John
  3. Hi. As far as I know, the only difference between the two is the quality of the Camera. The NS200 camera has the advantage of colour during the day, plus the extended viewing range, where as, the NS50 camera is only black and white and has a shorter viewing distance. Hence the difference in price. If you are thinking of buying this kind of night vision, You may want to look at the NE500. By what I've read, the NE500 has a greater distance than the NS200 at a far lower price too. John
  4. Don't do it mate, you will regret it. I bought the exact same rifle and cal about a year ago, and it is by far the most accurate and well bulit pcp i've ever owned in over 35 years of shooting. If you really need to sell it though, good luck with the sale, John
  5. I think that this is the case with Pigeon Magnets in general. On a good day they are excellent, and on a bad day they scare the pigeons off

  7. Hi all About a week ago I purchased an NS50 from THL member albert64. As this was my first ever purchase via any chat forum I was a little sceptical (you hear so many horror storys) All I can say is, I shouldn't have worried. albert is a true gent and was only too keen to answer any of my queries quickly and without hesitation. Also, the NS50 arrived on time today and was, as described, in A1 condition. Should I ever consider buying anything again from this forum, I will not hesitate to buy from albert64, that's for sure, John ps : A very happy xmas to albert and all T

  10. I too use Hypa flaps when I go pigeon decoying, although I'm not a great shot, If there are any pigeons passing these decoys will certainly draw them in due to their realistic wing flapping movement. Also, the Hypa flaps are so light, that I find the battery on my pigeon magnet lasts longer than when I use shot birds, John http://www.ukshootwarehouse.com/pigeon-hypa-flap-sillosock-single
  11. Just a quick update on my original posting on 'Newbie looking for a decent beach caster'. I decided to buy new and went for a Greys Centaur TX 12ft 3 Shore Rod, and a Penn Affinity 8000 fixed spool reel. Cant wait for the outfit to arrive and try it out, Thanks again for all the advice, John Rod : http://www.gerrysfishing.com/greys-centaur-tx-12ft-3-shore-rods.ir Reel : http://www.gerrysfishing.com/penn-affinity-8000.ir
  12. Hi all Im still trying to decide on what rod to go for and found this one, the Sonic Sk3 Bass. This rod Seems to have good reviews, but I've also read that the ealier 13ft models were prone to snapping, so any info regarding what could cause the snapping or any opinions both good or bad on the Sonic Sk3 Bass will be greatly appreciated Also, the rod that I will eventually get will only be used a few times a year while I am on holiday, probably on the Norfolk coast, and will only be used for beachcasting, John http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181234673450?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l
  13. Hi all About 3 years ago I tried a spot of beach casting for the first time. I was on holiday in a friends caravan and become hooked straight away. I then went out and bought myself a complete cheap set up for about £60 / £70 from the local indoor market. This included the rod, reel, line, weights hooks etc. However, the rod had now started to deteriorate. The top ring of the rod has gone rusty and the paint has started to flake off the rod itself. Although not a problem initially, it has become quite irritating. Also, the fixed spool reel has also started to show problems as the bail ar
  14. Hi Joe Never altered my CZ .22 in any way since I bought it new about 7 years ago, and to be honest I can't see any point. The rifle is only used for a spot of occasional bunny bashing and is never used for target shooting. plus, the fitted trigger is set at the factory with safety in mind, and as already stated, It has never entered my mind to start tampering. I am quite happy with the rifles accuracy and the overall performance of the gun. At the end of the day, everybody has a different take on what they want from their guns and what they expect out of them, John
  15. Hi all I was just wondering if you guys could recommened a decent video recorder for the NS50 that won't break the bank. The reason I'm asking is because, It turns out that a friend of my cousin has recently bought an NS50 and is now keen to start recording his late night shooting forays. Unfortunately though, Like me, His knowledge of the night vision scene is very limited, so I told him that I would try and found out any info that will be needed to record via the NS50 unit, Any advice will be greatly appreciated, John
  16. Hi all I was initially going to buy the NS50 for my .22 rimfire, but after reading many good reviews on the NE500, I'm now not so sure. My only concern, and the only negative feedback that I have read on the night eye 500 is the build quality, compared to the more popular Nitesite units. Any info on the night eye both good or bad will be greatly appreciated, as I am a complete newbie where night vision is concerned, and I just want to invest in a product that will be the most reliable and long lasting, Regards, John
  17. Thanks for the replies lads Just ordered one of the above targets, But just look at the price, £7.49 from the Bay. Thats less than half the cost that some are being sold for. At that price I might have to order a couple more, John http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350849378296?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D350849378296%26_rdc%3D1
