  1. Hi all I was thinking of investing in the above camera to fit on my HW100s, for when I go down to the stables to do a spot of bunny bashing. As I know absolutely nothing about the Shot Trak Camera, I Was just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with the camera and could give me some advice. I have never fitted any kind of camera or recording equipment to any of my guns, but from what I have seen, this unit seems to be the most simple and less bulky than most. Any advice wil be greatly appreciated, John http://www.atncorp.com/smart-hd-gun-camera
  2. 177 with the sporter stock. Personally, I just didn't like the feel of the thumbhole model. It just didn't feel solid enough for me, John
  3. HW100 for me all day long I bought mine about 2 years ago in .177 and I definitely won't be going back to .22 Flatter shooting, and more accurate (For me anyway) John
  4. Hi all I have owned a .22 CZ Varmint Rimfire now for about eight years, and after the initial bullet testing of different brands, I opted for the old, blue box Winchester subs as my regular brand as they were very accurate and grouped well. However, I have always wanted to try Eley subs, but just can't seem to find any supplier in my local area that stocks them. Another reason I want to try the Eleys is that, Since the Winchester brand has changed from the old blue to the black box, I have also noticed a drop in consistency, especially where accuracy is concerned. I was just wondering if yo
  5. Hi all Due to work and other commitments, I haven't been out with my HW100s for about 6 weeks. So earlier today (Sunday) with a couple of hours to spare, I set off to one of my permissions to do a spot of bunny bashing. After the initial Zero check, I placed myself in the edge of a paddock that sometimes provides a few rabbits, and waited. Nearly 3 hours went by and nothing, no sign of life at all. As darkness was almost with me, I decided to stay for another 10 minutes, and boy am I glad I did. Bunny number 1 suddenly ran out at a distance of about 35 yards straight in front of me,
  6. Hi VWman Another vote for the Hawke here. I swapped an old 1960's Webley air pistol for this Hawke 600 pro solar, and over the last couple of years I can not fault it. Excellent piece of kit, John
  7. My HW100s has been stored with air in the bottle for weeks at a time between outings for the past year and a half with no problems to date, John
  8. Thanks for the replies and info lads John
  9. Hi all As I'm quite a newbie to the PCP world, I have a question regarding my HW100s .177 Basically, I have the gun zeroed at 35 yards, and the rifle is only used out in the field for bunny bashing. What I have noticed is that, when I arrive at my zeroing tree, 9/10 times the zero has slightly shifted. Not by much, say half inch or less to the left or right. The grouping of the pellets however stay pretty tight. I always aim at a one inch spinner 35 yards away, and won't start hunting until I am confident of hitting the spinner at least 4 out of 5 times. Could the slight loss in zero be du
  10. Thanks for the replies lads. I was just curious, as I also seem to have read somewhere that, If left cocked for a long period of time, the hammer spring is put under a lot more pressure, which in turn can shorten it's life, John
  11. Hi all I was just wondering if there could be any side effects to leaving the HW100 cocked for longer periods of time. Like when you are stalking rabbits out in the field and you never know if anything is going to show or not. As I'm quite new to the PCP scene, I was wondering that when left cocked, could the pressure in the in the rifles air chamber cause the seals to wear out much quicker, and therefore leading to more regular servicing/repairs etc. And if this is the case, presumably it would be better to cock the rifle nearer to when taking that all important shot, If possible t
  12. Hi all I have recently noticed that Winchester are advertising a new .22 42 grain subsonic bullet, rather than the old tried and tested 40 grain (my usual brand) I was just wondering if any of you guys have tried the new 42 grain bullets, and if you have, could let me know your opinions. Also, are these new line of 42 grain bullets due to replace the old 40 grainers or is this just a new line being introduced. I am due to stock up now with some more ammo, so any opinions will be greatly alpreciated, John
  13. Thanks for the reply's and info lads, Greatly appreciated, John
  14. Hi all I was just wondering if any of you guys have tried Falcon Accuracy plus pellets in .177 with your HW100, and if you have, would you share you're thought's please. To date, I have always used AA Fields, but due to the recent increase in damaged skirts, I will soon be looking to change brands, accuracy and reliability permitting that is, Thanks, John Falcon Pellets : http://www.airgunbuyer.com/details.asp?cat=Pellets&SubCat=Pellets&Product=2848

  16. Hi all I was just wondering what the most recommened/popular size is for the JSB brand for the HW100 in .177 format. IE : 4.50 / 4.51 / 4.52 / 4.53. To date, I have stuck with Air arms fields, but lately I have noticed an increase in the amount distorted pellet skirts per tin, and have read that the JSB's are a better buy, just as accurate as the AA Fields with a lot less damaged pellets per tin. Any advice appreciated lads, John
  17. Good luck with the sale bud, a cracking gun there at a good price. I also own the Winchester 12g 3 1/2'', but in the SX3 Composite spec. I too rarely use the gun, but I just can't part with it, John
  18. .177 from my HW100s, all day long
  19. Hi all I've decided to have a bit of a clear out (due to her indoors moaning) and I have approximately 10 years worth of Sporting shooter, Sporting gun, and a couple of years worth of Airgun shooter as well. Not had a chance to count them all yet due to being stored away, but I would imagine that there must be about 100/120 issues or so, give or take. Should anybody be interested just drop me a line and I'll dig them all out for you. These must all go at once though, as I dont want to be sorting out different issues etc, and posting off, John ps : Mods: I couldn't find a section to
