  1. use both myself prefer the body grip just because it seem's to be in the right place more often than the fenn.
  2. lamped with a 12gauge for about 10 years rabbits and fox windy night's are best always moving into the wind, fixed choke's half and full, BB for fox 30-40 yards, 32gram No. 6 for rabbits 30-40 yards. then we got a .17

  4. have never used a decoy, bearly cover the egg's with some hay/grass/straw, whatever you make the nest of, as i am led to believe when a bird leave's a nest with egg's it covers them over to keep them warm. it work's fo me anyway :thumbs-up:

  7. lads is there much in the difference in the price's of shotgun ammo between n/ireland and s/ireland, im paying 10.50euro's for a box of 25, 32gram No.6. and 6.50euro for a box of 25, 28gram No 7 1/2. am heading up in a few weeks and if they are cheaper i plan and getting a few box's, the other thing is do i need some sort of a transport license to bring them from the n/ireland to s/ireland

  9. iv just started trapping mink myself, i use a quater of a rabbit under a cage trap, have 9 sence monday. :dance:

  11. good way to start bet loads started that way.seem's like a lot of work for a few rabbits, how long are you going to stay in the field(all night)? would it be easier to lamp the area first and give it an hour or two for the rabbits to settle, anyway after a while the rabbits will get used of the lamp, once that happens you'll not get a shot they'll be gone scampering like hell. stick with it anyway
  12. fished just the once on the beach, all sand had 2 bass on lug worms good fun

  14. i caught a cat last week in a mink trap baited with some rabbit, have caught them in larson traps with mr magpie and in fox trap also baited with rabbit, and not the intended prey i was looking for.

  16. cheers lads the bird was released by hand yestreday, had 2 grey's thismorning and decided to leave them alone till it got dark as there was 3/4 more around waiting to get in, just went back to count the numbers and had a total of 0 , and no, the kesteral didnt eat them, the ladder is about 10-11 inches wide and the run's are 8 inches apart, are the measurements to wide apart??????

  18. spent 3 day's building this 8x8x6 ladder trap hoping to net myself a few grey's. in the last 2 day's, 5 times iv opened the door to let out a kesteral, how or can i keep them away

  21. i once heard that it is possable to catch mink in a piece of waven pipe burried into the ground about 3 foot long and at a slight angle. just wondering if any one uses this method and if so any tip's. cheers lads/ladies
  22. hello all i am just about to make a ladder trap and was wondering what times of year are best for catching grey crows any advice greatly appricated
