what a fish mate !! its got a tail like a shovel ! hows long did it take to land ? it had surley and a head like a bullock, didn't take that long only about 10min max, often had a smaller salmon on for longer.

ferox trout dont get big by eating little flies! try a deadbait trout trawled much the smae way you would trawl lures! cheers for the info on the way the ferox trout feeds, ill pass on the dead bait tho and will try that plug bait again

well next month the mayfly starts so i will try for him with the fly, minght be a bit heavier

couldnt tell ye what sort of trout it is was trawling for pike with about 30/40 meters out. The trout was released due to stricked rules in the pike competition :sick:

hope this works first pic, took the girlfriend fishing for the 2nd time ever and this was the result, trout weighed just under 11lb
