  1. i had this happen to me a few times so i then started to put padlocks on all my trap's. I often WONDERED if 1 was to prep the cage up on 4 wooden legs and connect the main's electric fenc to it, the bird wouldn't be harmed (off the ground)and the boy down the lane wont ever touch a cage again.
  2. nice tidy trap is there larson spring's or different one's on it?

    Mink.

I would love to see a mink been taken by a hawk but i think it would have to be 1 serious bird to kill a mink. For the amount of time spent out with dogs to put 1 out for a reasonable enough chance to fly your bird you'll will get 10 times more in the trap's. I asked a farmer for permission to set a cage in a stream that he crossed every day to get in and out of his property, no problem he said but i have never seen any mink there. In three months i had 16 mink trapped.
  12. I find the flying C's best a No.3 will catch both sea trout and salmon, some people will perfer a certain colour but i will fish the first colour i put my hand on , i have caught both salmon and trout on on all different colours and different colour blade's, ill fish black, red yellow purple orange green and blades i have used off old mep's with spotts on them even. All have caught fish but i still prefer yellow.
  13. stick with it there's loads more to get 3 cages set now for 2 months about 40 magpies, this week was the worst yet only 1.
  14. nice job do you bend the mesh or cut it and join it? could you stick up a pic of the pheasant trap.
  15. i use a bit of rabbit but just about anything with a smell off it will work, A bit of fresh fish some sardines or even the scrap meat and bones off the sunday roast. Cover the trap over well so all that can be seen is the opening.
