    just wondering do any of you take this feather out of the bird and what do you do with them???? i was told they were used for writing with back in the day and that's where it got the name...

    was out for a day last week at the woodcock, 3 guns 3 dog's, met between 25 to 30 (lost count) and had a bag of 7 between us. they are fairly crafty and quare fast once moving, best shooting bird in my opinion. good shooting sounder

    be in no rush, im not sure but i wouldnt take it up for al least 2 month's, i could only imagen the smell if it's only half decomposed.

    i just leave mine hanging off a tree and leave the fly's and maggots do the job till the skin fall's off, or else burry the head in the ground and leave the antlers stick above the ground so you'll know where you burried it.

    anyone know how the mink trapping is going in donegal after the anti's relased them? heard that a 1000 got out and about half of them are accounted for???
