  7. by heck theres some crazy ideas on here, lets clear a few up i have used locators for 25 year , and have never had a ferret cought on a root i have never choped a ferret with the spade either. and some of the warrens have had multiple digs on them , and yet they still fill up with rabbits. BOYS DO YASELVS A FAVOURE AND GET A LOCATOR, AND DIG OUT ALL THOSE RABBITS YOU ARE DEFINATLY LEAVING BEHIND

  11. I always start my kits off without locators, but i do it on small open warrens with longnets round, that are shallow, they wander round with the older ferrets. but its far better to have the locator, i always remember my ferreting parntner telling me about the first time him and his mates used one 20 odd year ago. first warren they did produced a dig , about 1 foot down. they pulled 5 rabbits out , on that very first dig. needles to say they never went with out one
  12. lots of difrent wood can be used for pegs (poles), as a young chap privet was always a faveroute. and blackthorn. but to be honest hazel is hard to beat, its usualy the streightest, and most abundent, and takes little work , for it to be ready
  13. i dont blame you moley, bang out of order. now send me a pm , and i will take over those spots, that these chaps will be leaving well you dont get if ya dont ask

  22. I went 2 year ago, but only the north island , from what i saw travling round there werent great numbers of rabbits, but its hard to guess when your mainly on the road. i have herd that the south island has big populations of rabbit. theres lots of land and forest owned by the government, and from what i was told you DONT need permision here. but obviously do on farm land. if ya like fishing , you only need a licence and can fish any where , non of this day ticket carry on. also herd gun licence is easy to get hold of. and theres no closed season on the 8 species of deer thay ha
