    yeh you dont need a lodge,,, as you say carravan,, one of my farms has carravans, often thought about buying one , and leaving it up there, you can get a half decent one on the bay, for £500. Miles:::: feck knows , alot, 250 round trip to the dales, got mates in lancs, that travel to the flat land at least once a week, there doing the same 2 hours driving 100+ miles each way.,,, if you love the sport and have the time away from work , you will travel

    the early 90,s were awsome wernt they, great times, remember fit young birds just coming up to you with vics, and giving you a massage,,, great days, you only needed 1 e back then, lasted hours.

    not alot else up there whin,, well not on my patch anyway, there are spots with a few hares, and the odd roe, but rabbits are the thing up there

    a good few years back My old bitch cought a half grown rabbit one morning as she was retriving it she was eating it head first, she put half a rabbit in my hand, lol. dogs do some strange thigs somtimes. one night last year, my mates dog retriving a rabbit, put it down on the ground and rolled on it, made us both laff, its a great retriver as well live to hand , never done it since.
