  1. Excellent news! I'm already planning a morning on some crows which have been hammering a new drilling on one of my permissions
  2. New licences being issued as of 00:01 tomorrow, sounds like we are back in business by the sounds of what BASC is saying but let's wait to see what the licences read like. Dont forget to leave your comments on Mark Avery's blog!!!
  3. This blog was down for a while but is now up and running again unfortunately Just a reminder to get on there if you have time and show your support for the hunting community!

  5. When all this first happened I instantly applied for an individual licence, they are still processing this due to some errors in their PDF form but the fact they are still processing it shows that they haven't got a new shiny cover all GL ready for roll out yet
  6. Sorry to hear that mate, hope you get it back. I've been through that feeling before!
  7. RIP Tigger. Sorry for your loss mate, at least you have some of his bloodline.
  8. As far as I'm aware the deadline for evidence submission was Monday so now it's just waiting for Defra and Gove to respond

  10. Did anyone see him at the Northern Shooting Show? He's an interesting bloke. I stopped to talk to him at the BASC stand and he was a real laugh, telling stories about doing that Clarissa and the Countryman series and about Clarissa beating up the BBC execs to pressure them to show all the hunting scenes. He even said that Clarissa knew that doing that series would effectively end her career with the BBC as it was. God bless her fat soul!
  11. This exact same issue happened to my dog mate, and if I'm not careful it reoccurs. The only thing I have found that triggers it is sudden dietry change. When I got the dog he was fed half dry half raw by his previous owner but I moved him onto all raw gradually. I fed him all sorts to see what he like best and that is when it started. I have overtime figured out that he can only eat a consisrent diet of 80% minced chicken and the other 20% can be made up of rabbit and venison only but not in large quantities and it must be in combination with the chicken. Beef is the worst for him and tri
  12. Save yourself some expense on jill javs etc. in the long run and get a hob and have him vasectonised. And can't agree with everyone enough so far...always keep more than one.
  13. I've emailed Defra and completed the BASC and Fieldsports Channel surveys
  14. Totally agree mate. Think about all the sports grounds etc where ferals cause havoc. At the moment there is nothing anyone can do!
  15. Sorry if my post was misleading, this is my opinion only, I wont lie and say I have all the scientific studies performed on each species. I did put the question to Mark Avery in his blog and he said the only one in "slight" decline is the Lesser Black Backed Gull, and if anyone would have these facts I would assume it would be one of the heads of the group that brought about this legal challenge in the first place. Has anyone else actually seen anyone in the news etc. saying anything about population of the main species shot under the old GLs (Woodpigeon, Carrion Crows, etc.) being in d
  16. I submitted my reply to Defra last night, its easy enough with an email. Wild Justice and its supporters are on the ropes now, they seem to be worried by the consultation process because they know damn well they have no scientific evidence that the way people have used GL's for the past few decades has had ANY detrimental effects on the population of the species listed on them!

  19. Agreed mate. That's why I'm doing my best to let them know. I have talked to and messaged all the landowners who I have permission from today. I suggest others do the same if they have time. The fact that Gove has taken this off NE and is consulting the public means this isn't a clean win for Wild Justice yet and I dont intend to make it easy for them
