  1. "tsmcafee" don't take this as I am slagging you becouse I am not! Only trying to help out here and I did send you a PM also. I have to agree with AFT and wish you all the best with your bullrussels, but think you went into this project with your priority's in the wrong order. "I am interested in a good look as well as being game, able to hunt in some way." This sentence says alot and would meen a little more if it were reversed. Hunt drive/determination to locate, go to ground, get to the quarry and stay has to be number one IMO. As for the rest....color, style of work, size, ect. ect. tha
  2. She follows our Jacks around and digs at surface. When the animal surfaces she takes over. I don't hunt with her too often but she would go all day if she could. As far as her function, not sure she is any better than other breeds, but there is no doubt she is game and will hunt. My dad used her father as a catch dog for wild boar. he would latch onto the ear of the boar and bring it down. There are several videos on youtube that show bullys like her as catch dogs for boars, not to mention the bull terrier vs the bull in spain video. Many bull terriers have the drive to hunt, but it is not wha
  3. There nice looking pups you have there! are they intended for earth work? what size do you rekon they will make? ATB ADAM Some of the pups will end up too big to go to ground but I am hoping the smallest of the litter, a little female I kept will be more of the Jack size but with a stronger bully head. Maybe able to pull an animal out. I am not an expert on the techniques but know what we usually have is some russells going to ground and the Bully would be waiting and digging until the animal is at surface. My friend bought a male from this Bull and Jack litter and hopes it will be
  4. this is a russell my friend owns and works. he has bull in him way back. very strong. this is my favorit looking russell.
  5. English Bull Terrier x Jack Russell pups 9wks - excited about these pups. parents have a good look and are also very game. parents pictured and two of pups at 9wks. www.shamrockbullterriers.com
  6. My game Bully. She hunts with my Jack Russells. Very terrier type.
  7. I breed Bull Terriers & Jack Russells in US. In my experience, the pet owners want a Bull Terrier with more Bull in it, calmer and a good companion for family so they breed out the gameness in the dogs. As far as looks go, I like a good Bull Type Bull Terrier, lower to ground, wider chest, big head etc. Something to show off at the pub etc. However, my dad is a mad hunter and we have one Bully girl who is very game. She is more terrier type. We use our russells to go to ground for groundhogs, armadillos, racoon or whatever and bring a Bully along to pull the animal. Non of this is illegal
  8. Any picture of her I crossed a Bully with a Russell. Pups are only 9 wks old now. Both parents are very game. should be great hunters. http://shamrockbullterriers.com/BullJackHybrids.aspx
