  2. Hello people, Well heres some pics, nothing too exciting. The course was water logged due to the clay ground . We had a bloody good stroll through the rolling countryside , and the weather looked after us ok. Well HH, it was good to get out, we didn't blank thanks to the hard work your gill put in, little belter. A couple of our saviour on the final bury, There really was so much sign of deer it's unreal. i was almost expecting a deer :welcomeani: party around each bend. It was clear from the rabbits we did get that miyxi had been and only recently gone .
  3. I'm doing the same on the south coast tomorrow mate . Best of luck mate
  4. Best done with tissue or a baby wipe between your fingers
  5. I've not noticed biting as a symptom, certainly obsesive licking of the ring. And usually accompanied by really bad breath and a distinctly fish like odour  Anal glands can also be blocked by foriegn objects, No not pervy frenchmen . bits of sticks, bone etc have all been found when emptying glands. Often a poor/ predominently soft food diet doesn't help Regards LD13
  6. :clapper: Mate, Grooming parlours will do this aswell, thats how i learned, working in a kennels as a kid, you don't have to do it internally, i do it externally, they should be able to show you. Best of luck, with the dog and the wife
  7. I had a first cross, 23 tts, he could really shift, great turning, sharp strike. But a severe lack of brains. Just wouldn't stop. He was prone to cuts and tearing, and regularly threw a toe. Even on stunningly clear ground. Great dog otherwise. He had to retire young, he was just spending more time in recovery :alcoholic: Also, his catch rate was very good,
  8. Wrong -well sort of The box itself will pick up the collar at 15ft but the sticker only goes up to eight feet so you don't actually know how close you are until you've worked you way a bit closer . This is confusing is'nt it ? "EXACTLY" Thats why I said it works to 8ft . Surley if you didn't need to know far away from your ferret you was they wouldn't have put stikers on them in the first place I mean theres a good chance it'll be in the warren somwere! Just thought as the chap asked a genuine question I would give him a genuine answer without the need to confuse him.....Silly m
  9. do not no but if you got callars i will give it a go for you I havent mate, been looking on ebay for a set, they don't always come with the right collars is all.
  10. And they wonder why rescues wont rehome to working homes Exactly WORKING!!! Why the f**k would you keep a ferret for years that doesn't work. Working people to my knowledge do nat ask rescue orgs for ferrets it really pisses me of when people try and accuse realistic working people of being unsuitable owners Have you never heard of culling?! Stupid fluffy b*****ds are the reason so many problems occure with mass breed rubbish Rant over thankyou Keep one for years ? You have just recommended that someone kill their ferrets at the age of 6 months after she has worke
  11. good evening all. I was wondering if someone can enlighten me I'm wondering, does a 15ft locator work accurately with 8ft collars, accurate readings, Also, does the 8ft box work with 15ft collars accurately? Looking forward to your views on this. Many thanks LD13
  12. Look in the ferrets and ferreting section on here. Unger the heading drop box. Looks bloody good to me
  13. :clapper: i'm impressed. That looks to have mada a massive dent in the population . How often would you achieve catches like that? And are those set ups commercially available? or is it something you'd make urself?
  14. Me either. I'm lucky enough to own ferrets that don't lay up. Bred from this line for years and have been fortunate with the outcome.

  18. Cheers mate. The hole you're talking about does go to the otherside, it's a two hole warren, , I tend not to atempt the trapping game, as i'm not really able to check them twice a day. . A great idea though for when i get ome suitable land. I'm hoping for some fruit farms to come onside soon. They might more practical for Fenns?
  19. i love the way the guy in the vid goes to all the trouble of camo clothing and barrel wrapping, yet has the shinyest stock in the world,
