  1. unfortunately i dont shoot centre fires and reloading rimmies would be impossible, would help you if i could. that said most people i know who have centre fires reload and say it is cheaper
  2. be intresting to see the bullets, the other day i found a .22lr bullet in the ground and dug it out. it had expanded well. i'll get some pics up to show you if you want
  3. he made it take a look http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...showtopic=89696
  4. still worth trying though, and if it was predictable it wouldn't be half as good would it?
  5. you'll stuggle to find something that a 24gram cartridge cant break. in the Olympic disciplines you are only allowed to use 24 grams
  6. your right there mate. they are my fav quarry though. not had much luck at all this winter with shotties. well done ta ya mate. that was a good bag . bet you well chuffed . yeah, i shot more than anyone else that night, inc. the keeper . there is one huge wood that we go in and we are each given a block to roam about in, but after the 1st session you should know where to go, i do . as you proably gused it is riddled with squirrles as wel. i got a phone call from the keeper asking me to go and shoot some at one of the release pens, i got 6 & a jay in 1 hour with my AA S410k in .22.
  7. i go roost shooting for bout 1 month after the game season, but i use shot guns, my best bag roosting is 23 pigeons and 7 squirrels . i think pigeons are pretty hard to beat no matter what type of gun you are using
  8. your in the wrong section, you were right the first time, a .243 is a centre fire rifle, not an air rile.
  9. i do shoot them when i find them. i can rember bout 3 years ago we had mixi real bad, we just walked round shooting them with air rilfes and then burned them, i think we killed 50 odd 1 dinner time
  10. i was on a hare shoot when i shot my first one, it came through the line, my dad was next to me, he hit it with both barrels in the chest, i then gave it on ein the chest and lost sight of it, went to find it and it was still alive in a dyke, with 3 lots of 32gram 4's in it from about 30 yards, so it got 1 more barrel at about 5 yards. that sorted it. so i for one now they take some stopping!
  11. u lot are lucky, its starting to hit hard here . hopefuly they will become imune to it like they did 2 years ago, but then next year they will get it again
  12. i'll have to av another go at home using a mouse, at the mo im at school on my laptop, did 50 bag, 87% in 123 seconds quicker time, not quiet as accureate, i'll blame the touch pad
  13. well done, looks like, i'll have to av another go and see if i can beat you
  14. i use 7.5's through 1/4 and 1/2. that combo will brake most clays on a layout, but if there are some at a fair distance then i would swap the 1/4 for 3/4.
  15. well done mate, that stock does look to be working well for you
  16. 239 on drilled beens pics posted on forum i know they love beans, even seen pigeons dropping in on beans when the farmer has still been drilling them , hungry pigeons
