  1. LED is the future. Lightforce and the like will soon cotton onto this. Long gone are the days that Deben and such had the monopoly of the market. Shit...you can get a cree torch for less than a tenner that will suffice for bunny bashing. Imagine how far they've come in just 3 years. Then imagine how far they will go in another 3 years. If Deben/Lightforce don't pull their finger out and soon...they will be out of business as far as lamping equipment is concerned. As for me..i don't for 1 second regret going to LED coz i certainly don't miss lugging a big ass lamp and battery about all night
  2. nice one is it about two weeks to get them home Think mine took about 8 days.
  3. Good idea. Nowt worse than hanging on for messers.
  4. Anyone who buys one (off their own back) please make sure you purchase decent batteries. Because if you dont it will affect the torch immensley.
  5. Yup tomo. I've got the same as Bosun. Comfy as hell and damned nigh on indestructable.Added bonus. It adds 2inch of height so you won't look as podgy
  6. Good man foxdigger. Pity you didn't do this a couple of week ago. I'd have saved a few quid. But i'll say this. i can see a lot of lightforce and deben gear getting sold on once the K50 has been tried. Once again...good man foxdigger. You have my utmost respect for going out of your way to help what are imo complete strangers Just to add. Why the bloody hell would anyone want to fit a handle to it?? It's a handy concealed torch and fitting a handle just makes it look more Lampified imo. i'm sticking a decent lanyard on mine so it hangs round the neck and is straight to hand when needed. When
  7. A decent cree torch should do the trick i reckon if it's just for bunny bashing.
  8. Just had another quick hour local with mine. Even the next to strongest setting is good enough for distance lamping imo thus giving you approx 7 hours of constant run time. With the option of stronger setting if needed which in most cases it won't. Infact the more i use it..the more i'm liking it. Plus easy concealment which is another added + I'm going to have a bash at making a filter for it i reckon. Should be easy enough once i've found something of the right diameter .
  9. What was it like compared to the Striker when you had it on the brightest setting then...??? SINDASOX Alot better imo. And thats comparing to a striker with a 100wbulb
  10. Just round the corner from Highgate Dog Track mate
  11. Mine took about 10 days to come mate. Think they originally said it could be up to 2 weeks.
  12. As stated above. Lamp has been re wired so no issues there. It's the old type variable with single dial to turn up and down and is in good condition Battery was bought not long ago from Ian the admin on this site and has been used 3 times max. I will stress that i have hard wired it straight to the battery(chopped cig connectors off and hard wired battery fitments.Saves alot of fannying about messing with dodgy cig connectors imo). Still boxed and may have receipt still laying around somewhere to show actual date of purchase. The price is £150 for the pair and no i will not budge on that nor
  13. Also just like to add. Where i lamped tonight there was a fair bit of ambient lighting. so perhaps there may be a little more power to the beam than i initially thought. . By that i mean the torch will be more powerful the darker the surroundings.
  14. Just got back in. No import tax to start with Beam too tight? No way. if its in the field then a quick sweep will light it up. As good as a striker? Yes....and that's on the next to most powerful setting. As good as a blitz? Quite possibly but yet to confirm. light too white? imo no it isn't. If youv'e used a cree before then you'll be used to it. If not it may take a little getting used to. Plus quarry's eyes are a different colour also. But with this powerful a light you'll know exactly what species it is you are lighting up. Imo if it bunny's you are after then mid power range would
  15. Had first pair of toggi's for 6 year. out of this world. Second pair didn't last a season. Put me straight off. Dunlop for me now.
  16. are you taking the blitz to compare stabba ? i'm gunna be comparing it to the striker tonight mate. I know the striker's limitations on the land i'm going to be looking on so will be comparing it to that for now. Truth be known i very rarely use a blitz anyway so if this torch blinds the striker then it'll be good enough for me. Get ready folks coz there may be a striker variable and lithium 14amp for sale soon
  17. Mine has just arrived. on first impressions it looks a real sturdy well put together thing. Would fit in a decent sized pocket. IE cargo pants side pocket. Has a bit of weight to it but not overly heavy as to get uncomfortable after a hour or 2 of carrying around. Easy on/off switch and easy operable mode setting. I'll be nipping out in a couple of hours just to try it and see what the the beam throw is like. Have a couple of fields that are a good 400/500 yards length so if it shines the edges up of these easily then it'll be as good as the striker. Will need to travel a fair distance to test
  18. I know Kev. But i feel it's all coming together
  19. No not come yet mate. Batteries just arrived though
  20. Bull/whippets maybe ok. But the downside is that they can throw on the "too small" scale aswell due to the whippet side of things. Anyone with a bull/whippet over 23" is very lucky indeed imo.
  21. Just ordered my batteries. So it's a matter of waiting for everything to turn up then we'll see what's what.
  22. let me know how you get on with it , seriously considering getting one instead of a lithium battery for my lance
