    Congratulations on quiting cigs vduben! Alot of good advice for taking the weight off already posted. Sensible diet, exercise, and consistancy are they way. What Duncan said about weights is also worth looking into. Running, assuming your knees are up to it. Seems to be the best way to shed the pounds. Good luck!

    I wonder if she knows the UK is not a rabies area? Here in Michigan, hunting dogs have to have a rabies vacination tag afixed to their collar. My city requiresd a three year certificate for dogs other than puppies. Thats a blessing you guys can count. ATB

    BrianSteven72, pointing breeds tend to have a strong pointing instinct. But, it has to be nurtured to a certain extent. Some pups will point right out of the box. While others, have to be brought along. Letting a pointing dog catch any prey, is the quickest way to take the point out of it. Flushing would be the second quickest. ATB

    I'm in the dogs body heat group. I insulate with styrafoam, and seem to get along with some straw or marsh grass for beading. Dry and draft free is the main thing to shoot for.
