  1. Yeah. There was even a children's song about it. lol "Lizzie Borden took an axe" "Gave her mother 40 whacks."
  2. Lizzie Borden - Wikipedia (I know, if you have to explain a joke)
  3. Here's a little film of White Tail Bucks chasing does during the early part of their rut. Very exciting time to be in the forest.
  4. True, but with demographics like this: Russia has defeated itself, hasn't it?
  5. Well, the Russian empire and the former Soviet Union were formed to provide that physical security. So, we are in agreement. Obviously Ukraine has made overtures to Join NATO. As has most European nations that border Russia. Without membership their sovereignty is in peril.
  6. It's Bi-lingual in Ontario, not Quebec.
  7. Paulus, I mentioned Ukraine to be ironic. The coincidence of Russia trying to reclaim land they need to be geologically secure and Israels seizing of The West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights. Israel can no more surrender these lands than Russia can give up their quest to rebuild the empire. It's our business and subsequently the UK's, to protect our fellow NATO members. Did NATO pick this fight? You could say so I guess. But NATO believes countries have the right to form alliances.
  8. Paulus, Hamas actually runs Gaza only. Not the West Bank or Golan Heights. As long as Iran stays out of it. Hamas, and the Israeli Government should both be over pretty soon. Then we can all go back to funding and cheering Ukraine. Yeah!
  9. I hope they got a good price.
  10. The Arabs? I think the Israelites held that land since the old testament. Sadly, land is only yours as long as you can hold it. Let's all watch Hamas try to hang on.
  11. Because there is no such thing as Palestine?
  12. Not so much maybe. Visited an old plantation in South Carolina last winter. Ancestors of the former slaves were employed there. Strange but true.
  13. It should read 30/06. A cowboy should know better.
  14. So far, it's grab ass over hunting two to one. lol
  15. Hi, Mr. Moocher, it's pretty much the standard for of leash dog training. I would also say that the "purely positive" approach your daughter seems to favor is fine for teaching young pups to do what you say. When they get older and start showing their independence it's time for serious, organized training. You don't mention the breeding. But I have a now aging collie/greyhound which didn't need a lot of e-collar work. Just to break him off of deer and wild turkeys (he managed to break himself off of bobcats). Joking aside this points out that a certain amount of force is required sometime
