  5. I forgot to mention you can get the pellet BC data from chairgun program and put it into isnipe. i used 14.3 grain Webley accupells at 0.0260 BC and 16 grain FX at 0.0320 BC which is just about bang on. Si
  6. Hi lads, Ive have just been testing this new software called ISnipe. Its awesome and matched my Chairgun software to a T. It goes on your iphone and even automaticially fills in the weather temp, humidity and wind at your loc due to the iphone GPS. It shows your your mil dot aim points and gives you aimpoints to all your hunting ranges. It has in built factory ammo which doesnt include either .177 or .22 air rifle but gives you the option to create your own profile with rifle, ammo etc. Just done my Pro Sport and its working bang on, im just in the process of doing my H
  7. If i was you Shay i would take Tonys advice on this one and try the AA fields as a good starter followed by FX as Tony gets excellant results with AA and FX. I guess she is doing 11.72 FP mate with the AA and 11.82 with the FX. How close am i? Si
  8. Excellent read that mate. Great shooting and photo too buddy Si

  10. Deben Pro Max mate with red filter and dimmer switch. Awesome Si
  11. nowt wrong with abit of lube atb ian Couldnt aggree more Ian Si
  12. Yes Shay i am so impressed with the Hawke SR 12 reticule that i had to get another one. The Hawke BRC software is so accurate when used to calibtate the scope correctly. Its the same software i use on my MAP Pro on the R10. The new one is the Airmax SR 12 mate so is it a 6-18x44mm where my Pro Sport has a 6-24x50mm Nite Eye on her. Basicially the same reticule but different scope with slightly less mag and AO plus the new one doesnt have the red and green illumination which i never use anyway. Si
  13. Yep understood Tony buddy 3mm can mean all the difference on a 40 metre woodies brain where wind calculation and hold over needs to be very precise. I cant fault you mate for using the AA pellets if your barrel likes them better, that’s why i changed my HW100KT to Webley Accupells mate after seeing how consistent they were on the chrono . Best of luck on your new foray mate. Si
  14. 4 misses last night though to not cocking her What ??? School boy error that mate . I thought it was just me that does that? LOL Taxi for Si LOL.

Hi Blacta, Welcome to the forum mate . I just wanted to say that there are many regulars to this section that are very accompliced shots and do what you have just described in regards to range estimation. There are also guys on here that regularly take 50 yard (45.7 metres)shots plus another 10.9 yards on top in some cases. Try chatting to: Festa DavyT63 Vemonviper Reggaeman just to name a few. There are also a lot of the same guys that have bought a laser range finder (LRF) (not wasting their hard earned cash on some electronic gismo/useless tape measure) as you
  17. Hi Minty, and welcome to the forum mate :welcomeani: Well done on the ferals too mate, I suspect the fezzezs were happy with their tea last night Si
  18. Great shooting Shay, yet again buddy I have been saying for about a year now that the BSA Ultras are the dogs conkers mate . They have got to be one of the best kept PCP secrets there is. I would say that a Ultra is every bit as accurate as my BSA R10 and HW100KT without a shadow of doubt. I was amazed at how accurate they are when i watched Reggaeman shooting his, putting in 1 pellet hole groups at 30 lased metres in my wind free range in Catterick. I also watched him shoot from a standing unsupported position a squizzer at 45 metres straight in the nogging, Gary was
  19. Ive never used one on a air rifle but have used them on my SA80 at work prior to zeroing. Be aware they are only used to put you in the rough area and will not zero your rifle for you. Dont forget pellets have different weights and rifles have many different full powers, I.E 11 FP to 11.99 FP. They are ok to put you on the paper but you will still need to zero correctly mate. My opinion they are a waiste of time for air rifles. Si
  20. No i have never tried them mate but i have watch Hugh Fernly eating them and making a rook pie. He seemed to like them. Here is something that may help you out A Traditional Scottish Recipe for Rook Pie Young rooks have a similar flavour to pigeon. Recently revived as a fashionable food in one of Sir Terence Conran's top London restaurants, rook pie has a wonderful gamey flavour. A spokesman for Sir Terence said "Rooks are not under threat as they do not have a predator apart from man and historically farmers have always had to cull particular birds, and they need a license to sho
  21. That sounds like a good plan Aaron buddy It sounds like they have made themselves at home on your property buddy. I think a good diet of lead tomorrow will get you more eggs and assist the local black birds. Good luck Si
  22. The HW97K is a brilliant rifle mate. I rate it as one of the best hunting spring rifles on the market. The new HW97KT is a dream rifle too and if tuned will chanllenge any springer currently on the market due to its great design, smoothness and accuracy and aided by the new thumbhole stock. I used to own a HW97K that was tuned and i have regretted selling it ever since. Its quite capable of taking any UK vermin at max range easily if matched with the correct pellet. Mine loved RWS Super domes and AA Fields in .22 calibre. Si
  23. A tune by a good rifle tuner could also sort your smoothness problem mate. The weight you will just have to put up with or groe some bigger guns LOL. All the best Si
  24. No problems Chris im glad that the clip was useful to you. Got to say Chris i have used WD40 for lubing for years too and i have had some good results on vermin and long range accuracy using it. I wont be changing my method of ammo prep. Its tried and tested and as long as you do it like i did in the video clip, using a piece of paper towl and in moderation you wont go wrong mate. Everyone has a view mate. My advice to you is try something for yourself first. If it works well then stick with it and pass on your experiences to us on here. We are all interested in learning m
