Oh forgot to say mate, Well done with the .22 calibre . I know that you must feel good now buddy to hit a shot like that that requires 3 to 4 mil dots hold over in .22 calibre. Now you see what thrill i get mate when you range it, line it up and then nail the shot Not a feeling like it is there mate? Congrats Si

Mine off in 4 weeks when I get home to the UK to John Bowkett for a blue print job and get the barrel shortened to the shortest that it can be made. I’m then fitting a BSA VC silencer on it. You ever thought of getting your R10 blue printed too mate? John would defo sort out if its your rifle or not mate. I’ve heard his work is very good on the R10's. I was speaking to Shay yesterday on the phone and he as convinced me to get it done early rather than wait till I get my first problem with the rifle and then send it to him. Anyone got Johns contact information please -

What pellets are you using Wurz? Mine shoots FX 15.98 grain but averages at 568.7 FPS giving me 11.51 FP Yours just seems a little low mate maybe. Si -
Joey, Where’s the ginger stubble gone fellow ? The last time I saw you, you were doing the George Michael bit with the ginger goatee LOL > Nice tat though pal . I want one on my neck but I think my employer wouldn’t be too happy mate . I’m going to visit Wurz in July for a re colouring on my hand . You not thought of reverting back to your old forum i.d buddy? Si

Hi No More Rabbits, A BSA Supersport shooting 50 yards in either calibre grouping inside a 1inch kill zone and killing rabbits humanely Id have to say that the rifle has enough remaining velocity at 50 yards to do the job but I think that the shooter would need to be a very special shot I personally wouldn’t try shooting anything with a Supersport beyond 35 metres at the very tops, I would probably stay at 25 - 30 metres. It you want to shoot at them ranges and you are good enough to do it on something live I think you really need to buy a HW, Air Arms or a good Webley sp

Nice photos HH . Its nice to see more rat photos in the section as we dont get that many rat write ups compared to rabbits and corvids. Please keep them coming mate. Si

Whats the best and worst pellets you've used?
zini replied to slingshot82's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Hi, My best pellet is my .22 FX pellets / Air Arms Fields. Worst pellet is a Milbro Calladonian. Si -
Hi Fieldsportsman, The pheasant shooting season lasts from October 1st to February 1st in England, Scotland and Wales. In Northern Ireland, it lasts from October 1st to January 31st. Here you go Andy buddy, K.G Burrill The Old Blacksmiths, The Wynd, Bedale, North Yorkshire DL8 1EW Tel: 01677 424447 Regards Si

Hi Andy, Yep it’s a small world buddy . He drives some weird car now as well as being an eccentric. He as some really good HWs in his shop on sale mate. HW80 with silencer and scope all serviced etc £200. Was a nice man and very helpful and was very pasionate about his work but not a patch on Tony Wall for quality and what he produces as a final product mate. Si

Hey Jack read this buddy, Despite not having any feedback on my original question I decided to get my 177 Lightning XL tuned at Sandwell Field Sports. My reasons being 1. that there was far too much twang noise from the spring, 2. too lively, even for a light 177rifle it just seemed to recoil more than any other rifle at the club 3. It was so hard to get a pellet into the barrel i had to use a pellet seating tool. 4. My relatives gave me the movey for Christmas Before the tune the gun was producing just under 11 ft/lb using Webley Mosquito Express. The purpose of the tune

Yes Andy it was mate. Si
-
I paid £50 or £60 i cant quite remember on my BSA Airsporter in Bedale for a new spring and seals and abit of a tune. It was better than when i got it but nothing and i mean nothing, not even close to Tonys work. Si
-
I agree Andy mate, £75 for a service For £75 with Tony you get the service and tune mate all in and i rate him this much pal that if your gun comes back and its not the best its ever been i'll personally give you you money back Jack. Si
-
Yeah you can do buddy . Just say Si Pittaway who is in the army in Germany and it picking up the tuned HW97KT in early July put me on to you. He will know who you mean then pal. I have had a .22 HW97K .177 Spectre carbine (based on a HW95K with thumbhole stock) .177 HW95K and a HW97KT (my new gun) from Tony all tuned by him mate and believe me when i say it the 3 i shot were all perfect rifles and shot like a dream. Si

Jack, There is only one thing that I would do if I was you mate looking at the prices of your other options and that is to send your rifle to Tony Wall at SFS. I can personally voucher for his work and have bought 4 tuned Weihrauchs from him with the one I am picking up in July mate. He is the dogs nads mate and what he doesnt know about tuning a springer isnt worth knowing. Your rifle would shoot better, more consistent and smoother than it ever did do pal I promise you that with my hand on my heart. You know me mate, I love my shooting and take it very seriously and I wou
-
Hi Lee, The rifle looks ok mate, but if i was you and could wait a little longer i would save up some more money and either get a second hand Weihrauch HW95K or a new Webley Xocet. http://www.airgunbuyer.com/Showproducts.asp?cat=Air%20Rifles&SubCat=Webley%20Air%20Rifles Si

Better luck next time mate. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you do to try and fill your game bag, it always seems as though God is on the side of your quarry. On these days it’s just best to go home and have a beer mate. Si
