  2. It's deffo a game changer and it's interesting how much game and stuff you actually that youth not necessarily see on the lamp and if your playing off side at least you haven't got to worry about putting the lamp on until its needed, you can get deep into bandit country, I also think it comes in handy if you've hammered a spot abit and the seasons well in and you don't want to spook to much a few times I've left the dog off the lead he's wiffed something in the darkness I've looked down the thermal and something been up in front he's run towards it and had it In the dark or I've flicked lamp on last minute he's had it good crac indeed 😉

Just because you can see its heat image, it does not necessarily  mean your going to catch it, Daytime, personally i would rather a dog with a good nose find it, Fieldcraft and all that. What next digital rangefinders to calculate how far the dog has to run Lol

That's deffo the case with mine I spot them on the thermal and still miss I'm gonna just construct large fences round areas next time that'll show um

you might be right , but the way i see it, if the old dogs in question  have deff give 100% in the hunting field  all there life , i think it only fair to the animal to show some compassion to it . dont get me wrong if you had fecker dont hunt for and only him self, picks his runs, or wont do a fox, or bigger stuff, etc. i wouldn't  keep it  . so if they been hard working dog for 8- 9 years  i look after them. it very rare that you have kennel full of all  similar ability , thats why there lot in pounds etc .My last 2 dogs  bryn who was very good rabbit dog, but nothing else . i wanted dog do the things bryn wouldn't , and old Buck deff ticked the boxes  for me. funny thing a mate from brum popped over to see me , since ive lost my wife , he never seen Buck at his best say 2- 6 year old . but he said to me you could see he been great lamp the way moving about now, if seen something scented somthing like today. he had lurcher x lurcher    pit x deerhound grey bitch, he got a buzz watch her moving he come to life then  lol, we had great  1 1 /2 hour , it done me good as well , another great mate  for me. he not on any hunting site , we met 40 years ago whippet racing in the black country , he even said  maybe  we might go back to them once our old lurchers have gone , maybe ??  but old Buck ok for couple more years  the way went after a munjack today IMG-20240314-WA0003.jpg
