  3. We had the odd munty local to me, i say odd as iv'e only seen three in the last four years, but no doubt they will increase, i too have seen munties in urban areas, year before last year saw a pair feeding at the side of the motorway qeueing for crufts. Deer are much more adaptable than we think, had roe in the garden at my old house.......

Yep where i am on about seeing the muntys isnt all that far from there simo, saw a big buck not far from the nec knocked over the other night when i was out lamping cracking looking buck as well shame he met his end by a motor vehicle but thats the way it goes, could of thought of a few better ways he could of met his end :whistling:

  4. I think youll find mate that the true coursing lads keep good coursing lines without a sniff out bull blood in them and there usaually bought and sold too each other if not given  and some people do like saluki bull greyhounds ive got bullcrosses myself mate and i have kept saluki crosses only for lampng really and i certanly wouldnt use a bullcross for coursing pre ban of course yeah you mite get the odd dog that will do it but its just not some thin thats done is it

  5. had the dog flush one from cover not 300yards from the main town center from a little copse on a bit of waste ground,iv seen more during the day this last week or so than at any other time, feeding on the motorway verges as well as out in the fields,im not sure if there is a large increase in the numbers or because of the grey overcast weather we have had lately they seem to really favour these conditions

Ive had the same thought mate ive saw that many lately and i saw too roe the other day not too far from mine grazing on a field have saw roe there in the past but they these 2 seemed quite settled and have been spotted there a few times now

  6. Over the last few years i have noticed muntjac and roe are coming closer into the cities, i live in a fairly biult up area its not too far from country side well what you could call countryside and of lately there has been a great increase in muntjac and of have saw the odd roe lately and in the past theres a small bit of waiste land not far from me and it does hold the odd muntjac on it i know this is strange to some people but i was just wondering if any body else lives by the city and has spotted deer not far or has saw them in places that you wouoldnt expect to see them

When i say the odd one il be honest there are actually flurishing ive saw quite a few does and bucks so its obvious they are breeding and they do move about alot i have spotted them in quite a few different spots not far from me, i think its great to see them

  8. nothing wrong with the dogs i sold. just not what i wanted. thay were unknown blood lines...i bought them throu this forum to be honest with you, apart from the patterdale..but that was from good stuff as well.

i got offerd a pup from what i knew was very very good working stock, and well known blood, so i rather spend my time with a dog that has the best possible chance in working...i sold all the dogs as honest as i could of been! i shudnt of used the word shit...was wrong of me.

Ive had working dogs for 37 years,i can tell you every dog ive had, what each dog was like and its a fairly small amount of dogs for such a long time, but i never bought hastily or on a whim, allways gave thought to what i needed /wanted before breeding/buying,if more people "gave it proper thought" there wouldnt be so much "shite" or unwanted pups about.

I agree totlly with yah mate thats a fair comment to make

  9. Ive bred a litter of 3/8 5/8 this season few lads off here have got pups out of the litter the bitch i have kept back is coming on great so far she can be abit of a pain in the arse at times but all in all shes looki9ng to turn out a good dog fingers crossed  lets see what next season may bring

thats 5/8 bull then isit? mine is 6month end of this month...so hopefully start her in the new season...as long as her bones are strong enough...shes such a heavy dog she had a bit of trouble with her joints...but as shes getting older and good food, there getting stronger by the day

    Nah other way round mate
