This is the stuff I have used in the past. cut it to length with the angle grinder, you'll need a decent 20mm auger bit to cut your holes in the wood frame....
Gapped mine 3" apart across the window, you may need it closer for smaller birds

What size engine did the MK1 lotus have in in chid? I would think they would fetch a few bob these days.......

, one of the joys with these old fords if you had the know how was the way you could chop and change engines and running gear .I still love to see them in all their glory expecially when somthing special is under the bonnet..........

. I remember the lotus Cortina which I think was 1600 twincam 
.cracking days when you could walk outside with a pair of feeler gauges and a strobe and screwdriver and set cars up ourselves, remember spending hours gaping the points and plugs and tweaking around with the mixture, and strobeing the timing, as a lad I couldn't wait to get under the bonnet for a play
, these days its all tamperproof which is a shame 
. don't think kids these days will have half the fun we had when we was lads.....a local lad had a MK1 RS2000 with twin 40's, cherry bomb exhaust and a few other mods, we used to here this thing burbling away at the traffic light at the top of my mothers road, everytime I saw it I drooled

. I have some here numbered 7 for my old male Gos upto 11 for a female and others witch goes up on 100's, one says 102... Its all pretty confuseing to me but could well be down to the blocks used.I think Grovsey is the man to talk to about this, would beinteresting to find this one out myself as I'm totaly in the dark.......
to confuse things even more I have one I just took out of the cuboard which is recent which has 58 in it, fits the female Peregrine....

hi mate re the hood my mentor terry got me 1 from steve halsall and its amazing goes on straight away no messing about fits well and looks good!
i will have a look at kens hoods as im slowly building up a collection!

steves one of the good guys bullseye. he's been making Hoods for many years and a guy I have always got on with, not spoken to him for a few years but trust me he is a real gent of the genuine old school type.

.....Don't get me wrong some hoods look the Dogs danglies but a good fitting hood is everything in making a bird to the Hood, there's some blocked hoods I have used in the past that look great but either sit high on the birds head or slope pretty sharp at the back with some tending to pinch the knape feathers. I have some old school mollen hoods here that I personaly think are a wonderfull fit on certain species, I wouldn't part with them for anything

Under section 6.8 of the Council Tenancy Agreement
"You must not keep any Firearm, Shotgun, Air Rifle or any other offensive weapon that could not be legally carried in public at the property, without our written permission to do so. Before granting this permission we will need to inspect yout gun licence".
All my guns are sub 12 so I dont need a license for them and I am perfectly within the law if I carry my guns in public, if I have a lawfull reason to do so. For example if I am going to a range, taking them to the gun shop to sell or having purchased one and taking it home or carrying it to and from my permissions.
Why are people so f*****g scared of people of guns?
Looks like every one in council houses are going to be kicked out of their property, because a kitchen knife is an offensive weapon that you are not allowed legally to carry in public.

Tony thats got to be some sort of joke what I just read.
WTF is this country coming to when a guy like yourself stays well within the law with no illegal issues, yet some scumbags in a shithole council house carry and keep every offensive weapon you can think off either on their premises or car on pretty much on their goodselves
It seems laws and rules are made everyday in this country these days without any oposition, laws get passed through parlament with never hear about until it effects us in someway. it seems the backbone is slowly being snapped in the UK now. years ago we would sit back and look at comunist countries in disbeleif at some of things that went on! it now looks like they are becoming more westernised and easy going and we are on the reverse......

I feel for him because his whole career looks like it will now go up in smoke. Its hard to beleive a pro ref putting his reputation and job on the line with a remark like that.....
even if he is found innocent the poor bloke will always be tarnished by a minority with this now......
