  5. Whilst both my ferrests are tame and dont bite, I do find the albino jill more placid than the hob polecat, hes a git of the first order its just his nature, that said he is mint a real character, my missus loves him to bits, my little girl thinks he should have his own show on CBeebies, the jill is lovely as well, you can relax when she is about in the house, but not the poley he is the sort who will find trouble anywhere. ( if my house ever burns down it will be his fault ) Neither have been worked yet, both this years offspring, going to get out on a small set next weekend though, ca

A second hand BSA Scorpion T10 for around £350, I recently sold mine for £310, also single shot scorpions are cheap second hand, webley raider 2 shots worth a look at as well, dont rule out decent spring guns such as Weihrauchs very accurate with a bit of practise, HTH Richard
  19. Cheers Trappa, If I did get the chance to do it, I would want to train my own, however work and uni stand right in the way, once uni is over I would be better placed to have a go. I have considered looking at purchasing sheds, wire etc and spending a year or so when time allows building mews etc, whilst continuing to read up, then look towrds getting a mentor or failing that some sort of course to get some hands on, eventually moving on to getting a bird, such as a Harris, possibly looking at around 3 years. Its a massive commitment though, my missus would help out, likes to be involve
  20. Hello all, I am new to this site, and want to ask a few questions you guys will be able to answer. I have an interest in falconry, have read a few books on the subject, Philip Glaisters among others. Due to work commitments it is unlikely that I will be able to own a BOP in the forseeable future however I will ask away.... Is it possible to own a ready trained bird and have it respond to you? Do many of you whom own BOPs work shifts which get in the way of time with the bird, and if so how do you compensate? Roughly how many hours are the minimum that can be spent weekly with a b
  21. He speaks the truth however, 1k is a lot to pull out to sort a few bunnies if you have no real interest in airguns, a nice Hw95k with a decent 4x40 scope, plenty of practise, ie, 8 out of 10 shots inside a 5p piece size circle at 25yds sitting/kneeling position will sort the problem soon enough. Failing that a second hand pcp for about 350 incl scope will do it in no time
  22. Take his hand off mate, if it shoots well bonus, if its old, which I expect it is, sell it on at a profit on a specialist airgun site and buy a decent PCP
  23. Thanks for the welcome gents , been having a look around the site, well impressed, loads of interesting stuff, atvb Richard
