mate you wanna post this in the falconry section, ferreting a piece of piss, especially if you simply bolting to a hawk, pop ferret in occupied warren and stand back quietly and wait for the fun to begin, could nopt be easier, however the hawk will need to be broke to ferrets, you really need to get the hawk killing asap as if they not entered that's when the problems begin, has the fella mentoring you not got some ferrets, most austingers keep em, the cover is still quite high most places and land is being worked over be farmers so must shit that lives in the country side will only come

a couple of hours a day in the winter at last for say a harris to follow on and hunt, fair does fitness can be achieved at home high jumping etc but to be fair best fitness is gained hunting quarry, plenty seem to fly em weekend sonly however these are bright sociable birds and I think they suffer more than other types if deprived of human company and time out hunting in a pack with human dog and bird to bwe fair it don't take the time some would like to make out it does, but like most things in life the more ya put in the more ya get out Mollski its was a barn owl a couple of day ago

a lot of lads simply convert the ones for human exercise ones with longer runnign bed, board sides up etc, dogs either love it or hate it, always let em empty out before putting em on it

They still got all them mardy faced poles shacked up in that caravan honest pal I went shooting there once and you 100% right they have the most minging rats in the world BAck to the dry meat, its deffo genuine protein content, cos me white dog suffers hair loss on high protein food 28% and the tops of his rear legs have as much hair as the front of my head in summer I put him on 20% Gain to tide him over, hair grew quickly back, bought the crunch and for two days checked a handful in his meal on day three the hair was gone from his legs again done the pup wonders though and I will

Have you been to the daf yard lol flook a duck I nearly died with the smell lol. I got it good now I don't pay anything for meat, just need to try and source some free broon pasta or kibble lol my pal shoots the rats there and the place is minging, fookin horrible, I bought some meat etc there a few month back bar the chicken carcass , me dogs would not eat it raw, nor would they when it was boiled up and mixed with biscuit etc, wont be going back again, local butcher always the best bet, cost me a coupleo f quid more but hey Id rather pay for summat they enjoy and get the goodness from

Dobson and Horrel make it for Chudleys and they market it as Greyhound crunch, Lawson's of Ferryhill sell it and also send it via mail order, I reckon its great to add to pups food , and like Fuji says its puts summat vback in em quick after a session of graft, the sdacks last ages as ya cannot use too much of it, would likely do if you chose to feed crap quality food this gear would add the extras needed, makes good broths etc for them and like another poster says no flies in the summer, ferrets love it as well

Summers Gone..so Have All The Challengers.strange That,,
arcticgun replied to nans pat's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
grounds too hard too many farmers still working land, hares sticking to crop fields or any cover that's about, be another month , unless ya desperate to get pups going -
well known coursing man ,had his home broken into while him his misses and kid was home, took dog pup ,and and the fella a rough lad himself was just pleased they fecked off with it and family safe ! coincidently same area . approx. 2mnths ago that's disgusting, walking into a mans home where his family are and taking his dogs right in front of him , mind nothing surprises me in this game

Falconry and Hawking by P Glasier, Understanding the Birds of Prey by Nick Fox, Art and Practise by Emma Ford, all good starter books, the first two are the ones I keep going back too, if its harris hawks anything by Martin Hollinshead, he is one fo the rare, falconers that really sees the best in these exceptional birds
-
springer or cocker would be my choice, better temperment for lurchers, although the right terrier would be an asset as well, only problem is if they choose to go to ground, not nice lol
-
time for a c hange of glove lol them falcons been giving it you too easy lol my old female hgarris had some grip on her , massive feet, Ive still got some canny scars off her on me arm and head, spiteful bitch at times, very good hunter though, once in them talons no getting out, leathal feet, powerhouse
