nevr had a retrieve problem wityh me pure he either miss em or eat em, serious though pal put in plenty of time forming a good bond and despite any provocation (of which there will be loads) don't hit the dog, keep training short and simple , plenty of rewards, but know where to draw the line behaviour wise , mine can and will retrieve now, well when the mood suits him, they mature at different rates saluki very slow to mature , same with some crosses as well, good luck pal. sometimes they make kills and work so hard the least you can do is go collect it from em

largely down to luck methinks, we run a place that's loaded with flint, dogs never suffered nowt there, ran em on seed that's lay like bowling greens and they come away with toe injuries, I think a lot is how well feet are built initially and what they get used too.

HW100K/t in .177 or Theoben MFR .177, the theoben on shot count, HW on balance and silencer, both top notch kit, Ive had em all over the years daystates the whack and these two stand head and shoulders above all others -

iirc you need tyobe careful with what sort of rock you use as it affects water acidity and other factors as well, these types are form unique environments, a mate of a mate has a thriving seven foot tank of them, wall off stone caves theme, its incredible community to watch, pecking orders are established but interchangable, I tink as with discus to a degree over time they have become more robust and somewhat easier to keep, Im sure the set up Ive seen did not have natural rock, , the lad may of weel modeled it himself all try find out some nice tanks on this thread,
