    Hi all of to the cancun area for a few weeks soonish and really fancy doing some fishing. Looking into it fly fishing for bone fish seems like a good crack but I've heard it's hard to say the least and I've only been fly fishing twice. Is it worth me trying? How much is a guide going to cost me? Any other advice.

    Hi pal. You will be lucky with hunting i think. All round Quintana Roo, the state your in, and further a field is dense jungle. Vast majority of the time to hot to work dogs. Most of the crocs are protected along with a lot of the wild life. The fishing is very good im lead to believe but ive not done any out there as of yet. If you go wandering off into the jungle be very careful as croc attacks are common enough for it to be a threat. Not sure on the exact laws regarding spear guns but alot of the locals use them. Probably a bit late this time of year but keep your eye out for the hotel workers releasing the baby turtles. I hear youve had a drop or two f the wet stuff and some more due? Hope it doesnt affect you to much.

    Id recomend a visit to Akumal, where you can swim and snorkel with wild turtles, guided or just take your own snorkel and look where the groups are.

    Need any more ideas or advise gimmie a shout.

  12. Painful But Undetectable Injury.

    I'm at a loose end trying to find an injury on my 4 year old lurcher. I've been away from home with work and on coming back my mum said that for a week or so my dog has had an injury. We can't pin down to when it was exactly so we don't know how he's done it. In most respects hes a tough dog and he does seem to be in some distress with it when is hurting but is very hit and miss when it does hurt him. He can be having a run about and stop yelping and crying then have a pronounced limp or it doesn't seem to affect him at all. He could be scrapping with another dog one minute then the next yelling and being more aggressive to keep it off.

     

    I've checked him over and run my hands quite firmly over the side that's affected with no real reaction from him. He's still eating drinking pooing and weeing fine and doesn't seem affected in the night.

     

    I'm reluctant to take him to the vet straight away if all they are going to do is tell me too lead walk and rest or go through a long expensive process of x rays ect if the end result is rest and lead walk.

     

    I guess I'm asking for tips ie how to diagnose the problem. how i could help him recover faster. I worth trying to get some painkillers for him or should i take him to the vetand get the tests done?

    Worked on a pig farm for a good few years, used to see some wierd piglets. Used to get a few born with organs on the outside of there bodies, deformed heads ect. Used to hate picking up aborted piglets, especialy when ther are at the runny stage when they just disolve and slop through your fingers like mush.

    What ever next. Bloke comes on here offering a chance to hunt somewhere totally different a chance thats not likely to come around very often and hes met with shit jokes and banter, hardly a serious response to be seen. Seems a shame tbh.

    Who doesnt love a good foreign swearword! I jokingly called her a puta once not knowing what it meant and she nearly kicked my head in and wouldnt speak to me for a couple of days haha. Must say im looking forward to this little trip. Never really been to Scotland much so its a bit of an adventure for me aswell.

    Ive told her were going to Edinburgh and shes going to see where the Loch Ness monster is from. Hopefully I can actually get her there and hopefully the weather is bad enough for me to get there and get out again haha. Im guessing at this time of year it might be quiet busy so i guess id best book some where. When ive been to Mexico I can speak enough of the lingo to ask for a beer and say she has beautiful eyes but thats it! I really need to do more. What little i know from school seems to be wrong as i dont have the right accents on stuff. The country around Cancun seems to be just pure jungle as far as the eye can see.

    My Spanish is terrible but the misses speaks great English with a yank accent and most of her family speak it as well. I'm learning or trying to Haha. What's sonora and merida like? I'm pale as fook and ginger so get some funny looks waiting for the bus haha.
