  6. HOW LONG DO YOU SPEND

    i have... just been in the garage for the last hour shredding down the dogs veg and fruite for the next 2 weeks and i was in there on saturday for 4 hours mincing down the rabbit beef chicken and offal .... whilst i was in there this afternoon i was pondering over how much time i put into the dogs ... as i said i spend a good few hours every month on their feeding alone they also have at the very least a 2 hour walk every day ... then there is training time ... then there is the cutomery few hours in the evening when they are allowed in the house ... top that with getting them out working at least twice a week and i reckon i am spending more time with the hounds than i do with the family .... is it just me or is this the norm ............

    as some of you know i picked up a very well bred first cross collie greyhound last month thanks to CHALKWARREN ... i did however have some worrys about the pup as she was VERY possesive over everything and didnt want to please anybody except herself .... i sat back and had a good look at her and her ways and i changed my aproach to training her and i am pleased to say that this has worked wonders and she has come on leaps and bounds ..... she had her final jabs on monday so at 11 weeks of age it was time to take her out for some proper walks and the start of her fieldcraft lessons.............

    my mate turned up this morning with a nice little polecat jill for me that he got from a friend of a friend ... when i had a good look at her i seen that her teeth had been clipped and were starting to go rotten ... why the f**k do people still carry out this barbaric bulshit nonsence ... the jill wasnt even that good a worker but i kept her anyway rather than send her back to wherever she came from ... i bet the dumb prick still feeds his ferrets on bread and milk ...........

    Hi All

    Going to Hancocks at the weekend to pick a pup up :D

    Now I know you all have your opinions of him but Ive decided on one for myself.

    The problem Ive got is Im going for a Half cross but do I want Border or Bearded :drink:

    Can anyone show me some pics of these in adult form or give me some advise so i can have a look.

    According to Hancock Theres no difference in either work wise, the only difference is Bearded can be a couple of inch taller and a little more head strong.

     

    where are you i know of some genuine first cross collie greys in south wales ... i can ask the lad if he has any left .........

    how the hell does a ferrets nails stay down when they are worked hard or not ????? rabbits live in earth burrows how does mud keep nails down .... use your finger and thumb and scruff the ferret the same as you would a dog this renders them lifeless ... you can clip away to your hearts content .........

    you should start weaning at around 3 weeks of age i feed 4 times a day and if they eat theat if they dont no worries because they still have the bitch to feed off as the weeks go on i feed more frequently and remove the bitch more and more untill the pups are completely on solids and the bitch drys up nicely ... between 6 1/2 to 8 weeks depending on how well the pups are coming along and how big the litter is ... another thing why do people feed cerial and milk and all the other shit ... get them on meat from the start they are desinged to eat and digest it so feed it .....

     

    my last litter at 3 weeks having a meal .....................

    :11: :11: :11: any f****r that knows me will tell you i can just about turn on a computer let alone f**k around with pictures ... if i could the second pic wouldnt be that small :11: ... i can easily shoot up to 50 rabbits on a night out here as the place is crawling with them ... tell you what just to keep you happy when the moon goes down and my flue has gone i will go out and shoot a tidy little number for you lads and take a pic from all angles just so you will be happy :11: :11: :11: .........
