  1. If he can get hold of lots of .40 S&W round's, again I'd recommend the H&K USP auto, It comes in numerous calibre's (including 9mm)but the .40 compact is worth a look for security work very accurate and now taken on by the Irish in place of the Hi-power so must be reliable? Cheers again and let us know what he picks Luke.
  2. I think either your friends barrels bent or he's flinching as he takes the shot? missing a target by 2 feet is a lot! my first go with a browning hi power I put all 13 shots on the 12" target at 10 yds then 4 out of 6 with a S&W .44 Magnum. I was told by the instructor that both are relible, accurate weapons, but I suppose they might be a bit heavy for your mates kind of work? Get him to check out the H&K USP compact .40, both lightweight and accurate? I guess if he's lost faith in the gun performing then he needs to get shot of it anyway? you wouldn't want to be questioning a pie
  3. Well done to the pup mate, using his nose and finding his own game. Good luck with him Cheers Luke.
  4. even if it wasn't just rabbits, no matter how big it is, it still only counts as one! I think thats all you'd want to carry by yourself for 3 hours!
  5. The day is packed with fun activities and displays: from Dog Shows, Agility displays to Dragon Boat Racing, arena displays to heavy horses, there really is something to suit everyone. There are many trade and boutique style stands to visit, including our beautiful Crafts Courtyard and our ever popular Food Hall which features local food and gourmet products. - Cut from their website Some of it can be a bit posh but usually a good day out, and the Terrier racing is usually a scream, watching all the kids trying to catch their unruly Terriers! (they just let 6-7 go at once) then they let anyone
  6. I don't see why everyones praising the lad with the Rottie so much? at the end of the day Rotties are sheepdogs, so should have at least half a brain, all he's done is teach it basic obedience? sit, recall and fetch. he still said it was a weapon and he had trained it to attack??? As for them other kids, I think were in trouble if thats the future of our cities?
  7. As expected really, Chav's trying to look hard or that can't stick up for themselves relying on a beaten dog to do their dirty work for them. As one of them said, "if your dog kill's em then it'll get PTS and I'll only get a small sentence if at all." I didn't realise how bad the problems were getting in inner city's? Last time I went to Bromley to visit my cousins with my dogs and even though they were walking quietly and calmly to heel, everyone gave me and the dogs a wide berth, Now I know why. No wonder so many people were scared of Bull breeds. The way things are going at the moment
  8. Here we go again, another program about chavs with fat Staff's. Should scare the public and get some more legislation through parliment. :realmad:
  9. In that case I don't know what it is, I'm sorry. Pumps are notoriously difficult! from about 150-200bar is a nightmare! to push it down the last 2 inchs takes all my weight leaning on it! When your pumping it, you have to build the internal pressure of the pump to the same level as the gun (usually fairly easy to do) then it will suddenly become hard to pump, this is when the pump and gun have equalised. It relies on positive pressure to force the guns valve open. so by the sounds of it your gun is at 100bar at the moment, so from 100-200 bar is going to be hard work! When using a pump,
  10. I've been looking at the Fiat as a family/dog car, I own a 850 Volvo at the moment but Volvo's are getting smaller and smaller, so I can't go any newer than around a S reg without the boot shrinking! If you go to Turkey the Fiat Doblo is all they use as Taxi's, it seems every other car seems to be a Doblo? The driver that picked us up from the airport said he averaged about 45-50mpg (1.9 diesel) had done 350,000Km in it since new in 2004 and had never had a problem with it. (Regular services/parts aside) and he drove it like he stole it on the way to the Hotel!!! Only thing I've noticed wit
  11. Is the air leaking from the bottom of the pump, the pipe, where the adapter inserts into the gun or the gun itself? A few quick things to check, is the release pressure valve on the front of the pump closed? Is the gun cocked? if so fire into the lawn and try again. Is the adapter inserted fully? it should be pushed in all the way up to the nut. Cheers Luke.
  12. Comes with practice from owning a Dogo I suppose? would cost a fortune to try and get the dog to the vets everytime it got cut open? and as for the bills once you got there!!! There completely differant forms of Boar hunting, The Dogo's are used to catch only a few boar (hunter can't carry much more) so has to be big, powerful and fearless (and with it's own medkit!). Jaqd terriers were bred to either chase to a waiting gun or bail until the Hunter comes to them, so must be quick, agile and very vocal in their hunting. Also very rarely seem to get hurt from what I've hearedof /seen so far
  13. Is it me or do they look really thin??? Some cracking photos though
  14. Righto, I'll give it a go. Thank you Scuba! Luke.
  15. I've got a range of O rings at work but this one feels hard, like plastic not rubber? so didn't want to pull it off until I got another? Cheers Luke
  16. Went to charge my Solo this morning for another session on the pigeons but found when I plugged the adapter into the gun and started pumping, the air was leaking out. I wrapped some PTFE plumbers tape around the end O ring and managed with much huffing and puffing to pump it fast enough to charge it to 150Bar. Anyone know where I could find a new set? I've been looking on the net but can't find them anywhere? Sorry for quality of pic (camera phone!) Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers Luke.
  17. Good on you MLB, glad she's in safe hands now. By the looks of it she's only just dropped? means there's a young litter of pups out there with no mum and no milk :realmad:
  18. I've got to agree with the guys, your Lurcher does look a wee bit like a fox/coyote! and some of those rats look huge! All the growth hormones in the chicken feed I suppose! Good do had by all by the looks of it! Well done. Cheers Luke.
  19. Tia after trying to snort a bag of flour!
  20. Looks cracking GS, guarding the hen shed in the background!
  21. No use getting wound up timjim, either ignore the comments or just turn it into a joke!
  22. She looks like a cracking little pup MLB and she's going to end up a tough cookie growing up with them Staff pups!!! ATB Luke.
  23. We thought he was a 3/8 5/8 bullgrey, but at a show a few lads said he was too big for that and must be a half cross? so to be honest I don't know? Any ideas? I'll be at the EDRD show this year, if your there have a look and tell us what you think? Thomps - I married her didn't I??? LOL! Cheers guys Luke.
