  1. Try a small feed in the morning before an outing, could of been low blood suger levels? or as you said maybe dehydrated? take something as a 'pick me up' and small bottle of water next time just in case it happens again. If it starts becoming regular then maybe a trip to a decent vet required? JMO All the best with her and good work on the quarry. Luke.
  2. Saw this in the related video's... LMAO!!! This is just so funny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCoQmXbNjAo
  3. "What's the meaning of the Universe"
  4. So do we get to see the little fella in his new home? I saw in another of your posts you've had him for a week! ATB Luke.
  5. Thank you Reload, Inan, I'll get the pics on Friday, and post them up. Maybe someone can honestly tell me if their worth anything. He bid on a box of edwardian and Victorian horse whips, when he unpacked the box at home he found them in their as well. Although he guessed they were for Lurchers, he gave me a shout on the CB asking if I knew what they were. Anyone know of any old footage of Hare coursing that show the slips being used that I could send him a link to? All the Waterloo Cup clips I've seen on Youtube just show the dogs running not them beiing slipped. Cheers again Lu
  6. It shouldn't matter who holds the lead at the end of the day all your doing is slipping, the dogs doing the work? It's a shame it's pushing the comp behind closed doors next year, I think it's a cracking way for like minded people to meet and run their dogs together. I was hoping to maybe enter if it was still running in a few years.
  7. Thank you Stealthy, I'm out with him on the foxes again this friday so will get some pics of them then.
  8. Not me selling them, sorry! he was just wondering how much they might be worth.
  9. Just wondering how much they would worth? apparently their edwardian or victorian? Their a single lead with two collars being released from a single toggle I think? A friends picked up a few of them from an auction. Cheers for any help. Luke.
  10. Stunning, thank you I guessed they would mature late as a breed due to the large amount of Mastiff in them. I'll be happy if they turn out like her. Cheers again. Luke.
  11. She looks a cracker mate, what sort of age did she mature? Could I ask what's in her breeding? I'm trying to work out what Tis's will look like? PM if you prefer All the best with her this season, Luke.
  12. easy to see what rocks your boat aint it , is that sterling or dollars I get sea sick so hopefully they'll be no boat rocking . I wasn't actually offering to take you out, but either would of been fine, thanks. Short sighted... the old boy was 9 years old according to the Gamekeeper, try reading the article , that's not a bad age for a Red Stag, average is between 10-13 so I'm fairly sure he got a bit of tail before someone dropped him. Yes it's nice to see and no I don't condone leaving the carcase (I hate people that waste food, certainly a decent bit of Venison) but
  13. Get real, if you lot were offered two grand to take a deer stalker to it, how many would really refuse? end of the the day it's just a funny coloured deer? yes it was a waste of meat but two grands a lot of money.
  14. Cracking read and stunning photo's, Thank you for sharing them with us
  15. Don't worry he keeps his clothes on for this one! http://vimeo.com/6491292
  16. Homemade chips, Potato's are a damn sight cheaper than oven chips! I just use egg to bind them, you can add a bit of pork fat to the mince to help with the binding if you want. LL that sounds lovely! I'll definately be trying that one! Thank you.
  17. It was cheese at one point. I'm a skin-flint so didn't use much!! Nowt wrong with beans! good for keeping you regular!
  18. Sorry for my Mistake! I presumed it would be like a 3/8bull X 5/8 Greyhound. If you bred them back to 3/8, 5/8 crosses continuously they would still be 3/8 Bull X 5/8 Greyhound no matter how many Generations they were? How many generations does it take until they become classed as a pure breed? is just when the Kennel club name them as a recognised breed or when they start breeding true to type? Thank you for the History lesson, very informative What I dont get is why try and work out the percentage of the base breeds (used hundreds of years back) that made up the pure bred Bull Masti
  19. I think theirs some confusion here! she's a normal Bullmastiff, which are made up of 40% Bull 60% English Mastiff but are now classed as a seperate breed.
  20. Funnily enough, that was one of my first thoughts Whats it they say "Great Minds Think Alike" Wife's only out for an hour so looks like the head will have to wait till Saturday Keep those recipies comming guy's your making me gob water!! Never thought of mincing, good idea BM Minced bunny burgers sounds like a good idea. Phantom They certainly are! Their also a damn sight healthier than normal burgers. I always make the mistake of making them too thick though, so they take ages to cook through and turn into balls rather than burgers!
  21. He had enough and quit the site after getting sh*t from someones mum for inviting the lad out shooting. A shame as he seemed a decent guy.
  22. At least I can get insurance on these as mongrel's lol! Tried with Tia and got quoted £50 a month!
  23. Yep I'm sure they will be Reload, as I stated on the dog health thread, this was an accidental mating, which was too far gone to terminate, I didn't want Tia having a litter at her age. As I said above, most will probably just look like Bullmastiffs, I'm hoping the Bull and Greyhound in them will help them to hold off the weight a bit but their probably still going to be arond the -90lb mark. Cheers Luke
  24. I strip the loin (muscle either side of the back) and the main of the meat on the back legs and cut into chunks for curries etc, then strip the rest of the carcase of meat and mince it. A single adult rabbit will give you roughly 500g of meat in total, including stripping the front legs (tedious I know!) One of my favourites at the moment is a sort of homemade Ragu. Fry 500g of minced Rabbit with some onion, garlic, Paprika and a half spoon of Chilli powder (you don't want it hot) Add a tin of cheap Morrissons Rattatoi and two tins of chopped tomato's, Simmer for half an hour then spinkle
