  1. Only 58 mate? Should have made me 1 if have used it properly and not leisurely lol. Joking aside they look the part mate.
  2. What does it weight full skull like that mate? A guideline is 490 and up could be a medal, although heads below 490 have score and heads above it haven't it's just a guideline
  3. I've just got a ridgeline recoil coat mate I got it in a sale for an overcoat I've not tried it loads yet but it does seem a bit warm when walking and in cold winds with not much under it it's the opposite but I've been in a few snow sleet and rain showers with it and so far I've not been wet. I got the ridgeline pintail pants for over trousers and they ain't waterproof maybe in general rain and water resistant aye, but in real weather they just don't have it
  4. I've had a few for my young ones mate my son has a seeland beaters suit and a deerhunter wolf suit the seeland is the better of the 2 but I got dickies over trousers for them to go over if it really starts to come down and for wet and snow I got them Bib and brace North face type trousers they ain't north face I can't remember what they are but that kind of material they are cosey and lined they have lined all in one suits aswell that seem to be the mustard on cold days but just a bit warm for walking any sort of distance
  5. They are 1 of the hardest to break in mate mine are just getting there now it's took months but mine are only a back up to my Lowas so keep wearing they will soon loosen up as the miles go up
  6. If there as 100% waterproof as their waterproof trousers you best buy a pair of sealskins, save yourself the hassle of wet feet and buying twice and get the lows extreme hunter gtx
  7. Ok rod, not too much effort, imagine flying 10 miles back home after filling up on a pheasant against the wind, not too much effort? I've seen Eagles soar for miles not buzzards. So do you think they are experimental on feeding grounds then? Today lads see that wood 10 miles away up there doon fae that rock well fly over there see if there's a release pen. We all have opinions mate I'm not saying your wrong I'm just saying in my opinion they wouldn't travel as far for a meal, and from what I've seen and learnt about buzzards is they are pretty lazy big things. One of the estates I
  8. They are soaring mate, it requires a lot less energy than proper flying.
  9. Ok rod, I'll take your word for it mate, I've spent as long as I can remember learning about the outdoors and making my own assumptions up aswell as being taught from guys who have spent all their lives in the job, and you and tiercel have just put all my theories out the window with them reasons, simples really. By the way buzzards are the most lazy feckers going hence the reason many guys who use bops for hunting have Harris Hawks on their arm rather than these birds that will fly 10 miles for a munch at a poult.
  10. Of course it wod they are scavanging feckers and poults are an easy meal, but you said if there's too many you'll guarentee it will be in or around a shoot, and I said it won't, it will be all over the place from housing estates to motorway marker posts
  11. Simples really? Aye really...... What that shows me is over population, buzzards are not supposed to live in housing schemes sea eagles shouldn't be 7 miles inland with nothing but a ressie and a few duck ponds for miles, so could we say the same about foxes then? Mangey stinking foxes pulling bins apart in city centres? Surely they must be there or the land wouldn't sustain them, that's why we freeze the nuts off ourselves and pan our selves in trying to control deer in the highlands we should just leave them all the land can sustain them... Tiercel says, that's why they are there. E
  12. Lanesra, I've seen a LOT of the Scottish countryside I soendevery day in it, and towns and about every habitat it has to offer, and I'll tell you for a fact that what you said is wrong, no iffs or buts it's wrong. I've seen buzzards sitting in the middle of housing schemes. A sea eagle sitting on a church roof in a town, a peregrine sitting on a building roof in 1 of the biggest towns in the Scottish borders, go anywhere in Scotland and you'll see TOO MANY buzzards, on land with not a shooting estate for miles and miles. fact the only bop number ive seen decline is the poor wee kestrel, funny
