Just had a quick Google...
Which ones in particular do you recommend for wildlife pics?
Probably a bit of a gamble when you buy one. Theres endless choice on E Bay the last one i bought was £70 built in battery i just had to buy a sd card. The pic is a still from a vid so not to bad really.

First frogspawn here today too. High up on a mountain, i'm sure the shallow pond would have been frozen solid not to long ago.

Take a look at the panasonic bridge cameras, serious zoom and pretty waterproof.

They rounded them up here and took the ponies to be culled elsewhere- much kinder to have culled them on the spot id say.

I had a solar charged Spypoint, yesterday I saw the new range of cams which you can just plug a solar panel into instead of it being an integral part.
Years ago I got an alarm on my phone,I opened the app and in real time saw some chaps who didn’t have my best interests at heart, always good to have a decent cam and be able to hear people chatting lol.
Have you a link to the 40X zoom please?
The 40x zoom i bought off the Alibaba site about 2 years back, not even a make/model name. Excellent cam i have it screwed to a high pole- works with the cam hi app (my fav so far)

Got a couple of older ones, good call, are the new ones PTZ or moveable?I once found one in a bird box looking right where it shouldn’t be.
Definatly prefer moveable most will automatically track whatever moves infront of them. The solar powered ones are normally fantastic but this time of year - short days and no sun i have to take them home sometimes and charge them. i also have a 40x optical zoom one in our pony field that is powered by a big solar panel charging car batteries- bloody great for wildlife day and night.

Worth looking at the 4g solar security cams, generally cheaper than the trail cams and you can "move them different directions with the phone app.

My 2yr old grandson let out a scream the other day and the app picked up an eurasian crane! lol. Played it back and they were identical.

The busiest feeder i'ver ever seen on the most remote farm i've ever worked on. Not sure how many different birds there though?
