always use the red filter,quick flash and see where the game is at with out spooking
slip the dog and it comes off.
also good if your sneaking about so you dont look like blackpool iluminations.

Cheers for doing the lamping Jim, it was a very enjoyable night the carrying was hard work for us, shame no drop of but it is what it is.Bruce was over shooting on the turn again at the start and making things look hard work ,it gets frustrating at times but i have to remind my self hes still a pup. The plus side his retrieve is geeting better.it will all click with him soon and hes just keen.Mars ran like a pro as usual not missing many at all, shes a great dog to watch at work , i never tire of it.Great night to end the year too ,especially with no limps apart from us next day,lolAll the best for crimbo and NY. And may all your dogs be well and safe toolofti.

Deffo, last night we went over plenty some high and low gates plus some bad double fences Meg is a good jumper but some i lifted her over
for her safety and makes more sense so you dont spook the field at some points.

Great haul lads. Hows megs wrist holding up lofti?
Shes been doing ok mate, its only the second time ive lamped her since the vet told me she was finished.
Ive been strapping her wrist up with vet wrap and the support seems to be working
i was happy running her on Rabbits that night the Hare was an Accident to be honest she was bringing a rabbit back to me and it got up infront of her.
Next morning she wasnt limping so i will just keep using the vet wrap and keep an eye on her.

when lamping the other nite,,, i lamped for arron,,,his dog took a nice bunny,,,before you new it they was a owl in the outer part of the beam,,,,i put the lamp on it just to see what kind it was,,,,,,,,,a short eared owl,,i then made a rabbit sqeual , it you turned and was about 18 foot above us,,you could see every detail on it,,,THEN ARRON CAME IN SIDE OF THE BEAM A LITTLE HIT DROP STRAIT FOR THE KILL ARRON ADD TO WAVE A RABBIT AT HIT,,IT WOULD OF HIT HIM IN THE FACE,,,,,,,IM GLAD 2 PEOPLE WAS WITH ME THAT NIGHT,TO WITNESS IT,,,UN BLEAVABLE
It was a pretty special sight and seemed to go on for ages,i left my phone in the motor or i would of filmed it.
Tell you what tho, it was piss funny when it swooped down to get Azz, he nearly shat him self.,, and the noise he made ,hahaha.
There was some different colored rabbits caught, never seen a black and tan one before and a grey with blond streaks.

If its not for you Tote thats fair enough, but if there there is mixy on the land i would give the dog a few runns, Especially if i have a young dog like i have now
as the vast majority are going to die anyway. Wouldnt normally go this time of year but with mixi going to wipe them out then yes.
