Hi all, can't say enough about handling them loads. Nothing worse than chasing a fert up and down the hedgerow because it isn't used to being handled - wastes valuable hunting time. If they are hand tame they are easier to enter and to catch at the exit.
Another good book on general ferret husbandry is Sean Frain's 'The Pet Ferret Handbook'. Sean uses ferrets for hunting but has produced a book purely on the care and health of the animal and it is a good reference. Other than that forums are a massive wealth of knowledge.
Have now worked a couple of my ferrets twice (so not an ex
