  1. Might be an iron deficiency, had a dog who did the same and that’s what the vet said, Never did test the theory into practice so take the advice at face value but did start giving supplementary vits but sold the dog soon after.
  2. Took my son out for his first time Result
  3. Had a txt message from a local shoot captain who is catching up that he has seen eyes near the pen. Must say it was a bit of a surprise, anyway arrangements made but the best for me he said my son who had only been bunny bashing could come as lamp man, oh what it would be like to be 15 again but I digress moving on. First job around the pens to collect birds and store in shed with the four legged friends for company and went into first field where he had seen eyes, yes there they were but in the wood opposite but no interest to calling then they disappeared. Drove round for a bit w
  4. I’ve had various results which is the same with hand calling which is the main way of attracting attention. If lucky to bring it closer to the danger zone then its field craft all the way. The thing/gizmo whatever you want to call it, is another tool for you to deploy against that elusive quarry. I tend to use mine with a rabbit decoy (Rabbit skin over wire) which also employs a child’s toy to make it move a little. Varying results over the years.
  5. Usual conditions apply about falling shot. I've had many a happy hour shooting bunnies next to lines. It is possible to get some permissions on the land itself if you already have permission to the side but you will be Americanised by having to wear an orange Hi-vis vest. If you do get permission please remember to post photos of yourself for prosperity.
  6. I shoot a Sako 223 with a Wildcat 12 baffled as I have the occasion to shoot near livestock and horses. Can’t fault the mod but would agree its pricy but you get what u pay for, shot with a T4 & T8 but I like the strip down capability for cleaning and a personal view the 12 baffle dose a better job for sound dispersal having shot a variety but some might disagree. Its down to personal preference, if you can shoot a variety and make your own choice but they are worth having.
  7. I use an older Foxpro mainly for ambush especially if used with a decoy; I use a rabbit skin over a frame. Have heard for some who put a gizmo which makes it move from a kids toy to keep the attention on the decoy itself, (I’d like one but as I don’t frequent toyshops any more!! another story) point is Foxpro does what it says on the tin in certain circumstances. Also used it on front of vehicle, lamp as usual when you spot used Foxpro I have had marginal success with this method as Charlie is very wary at this point, personally I’m erring on the traditional method. Hope this he
  8. Its not an sit of special interest is it, footpaths ? To say it will never get permission is ambiguous what are the specific reasons for refusing. If it is already being used with a CF rifle then its already passed ?
  9. Most military ammo have 2 flash holes which are off centre. The flash hole is between the primer and the body of the cartridge. Most reloading dies single or multi stage, decap and resize on stage one, therefore not compatable with twin flash hole cartridges like most military ammo. :drag: :drag: :drag:
  10. Swarovski Z6 1-6 x 24 EEi, won’t go to far wrong
